  • (2021-12-06) Zene Arphy: The best web highlighter I've ever used so far! This can even highlight the story on Wattpad, which helps me a lot in studying. Hope there will be more colors, but green pastel is fine to me.
  • (2021-02-07) Bank Oliveira: Desastre em interface.
  • (2020-12-02) Jacob Ahlstrom: I love this tool. I have used other highlighting tools for school but I needed one for work that could keep up with me. I am able to keep track of all of my past searches and pinpoint the reason I went to a specific page all in the same place. It is an amazing tool.
  • (2020-11-25) Ender- Requiem03: Nice tool so far... gonna be able to use it for online studies.. simple and easy to use 5/5
  • (2020-09-23) Nature is awesome: Absolutely brilliant tool
  • (2020-03-14) Khate Salazar: Had to remove it once I tried uploading a pdf and the limit was 500 kb. Being a college student, none of my documents are this small. Sorry gotta pass on this one.
  • (2020-03-01) Rafael Cordani: Achei sensacional a extensão, navegação muito intuitiva e organização fácil
  • (2020-01-16) Tejas Chauhan: Searched a lot.. finally find a perfect one..
  • (2019-11-07) DaneJC (DJC): Absolutely brilliant tool for compiling resource material in a central location. Convenient and easy to use. Brilliant for college work, a tool I will be sharing with others for sure. Not sure why the user count is so low.
  • (2019-10-28) Gersivan Oliveira: Versão 3.9.21 Alguns erros de interface (que "ocultam" o botão "save" dos comentários) Excesso de espaço em branco entre as notas (na listagem de busca) Sem backup ou exportação; Não busca na mesma aba;
  • (2019-10-26) TaperHalo 8: Quite new to researching in this way and have tried a number of these extensions. This is by far the most accessible and user friendly by far. I’m still exploring its potential as there is so much to explore with this tool. Couldn't recommend this more and will be doing so to my fellow academics!
  • (2019-10-17) Ben Darrington: I have been using RevNote to help organise my reading and writing projects and it has been really useful. The ability to export annotations has also helped. I also like the new citation feature!
  • (2019-10-16) Steven Glasper: I found RevNote whilst looking for a browser tool that allowed me to save specific webpages and PDFs. But I hadn’t realised how transformational extra features such as highlighting would be, as the existing highlighting tool in Acrobat was pretty painful (losing track of what PDFs had been highlighted was a major issue). RevNote solved this by allowing me to access my highlights independently from the original document and allowing me to group my highlights by category, which I have to say is a real game-changer for me. For example, I create categories such as ‘Positive Effect’ and ‘Negative Effect’ when weighing up two sides to an issue; with RevNote there’s no need to back track through the articles, I go directly to the category to review the collated highlights. Awesome stuff!
  • (2019-07-03) Karen Tang: I've been searching for a tool like this for years, it easily organizes all the important bits of information you read, which is an immense task. Helps me formulate research conclusions, THANK YOU
  • (2018-05-11) shalomos: Love this tool. I am always changing my mind about where I want to place my clippings. It is so easy to change which project I have placed a clipping in and I can also store a clipping in several different projects. Well worth it if you do a lot of research on the web. Nice! : )
  • (2018-05-11) Chris Simmons: I found this App while conducting extensive online research. I have found this extension perfect for me so I am giving it 5 stars and have recommended it to colleagues. I'm keen to know when the PDF highlighter will be up and running?
  • (2018-05-08) Emma Roberts: This is not the first tool to try and do something like this. I have played around with many citation reference tools and several tools designed for writers and they have all seemed to work differently to this. What I like about Insiite is that although it seems a little overly simple at first, it clearly wants to set itself apart by helping you collate and organize your annotations in a way that you cannot really do with other tools. If you’re anything like me and read far too many articles each time you are researching something, then you will like the ability to label your annotations as you make them. This is a simple but great tool.
  • (2018-04-13) kyaw tun sein: YEAH!!! THIS IS A REALLY COOL EXTENSION! It is not perfect but I LIKE the way that this is heading. VERY INTERESTED to see how Insiite develops.
  • (2018-04-13) François Fournier: This would be worth 5 stars but I want to give it room to get even better! The interface is cool and straightforward to use. The main thing I am missing for now is the ability to save the full web page. I have spoken with the awesome people behind Insiite and they are working on it. I am really looking forward to that.
  • (2018-04-11) Joanna Wharton: As a scientist, I tend to use PDFs for most of my research, but do occasionally use online articles for background reading. I cannot fault the design of the clipper, or how user friendly it is on web pages, but I would love to be able to use this tool with PDFs. I am hoping my very positive review speeds up the development of the PDF reader, as that would make this clipper a priceless tool for very time-pressured researchers.
  • (2018-04-10) James Kerr: Works for most use-cases that I come across.
  • (2018-04-10) Julie Storr: It is easy to use and a great design. I can't take a screenshot or review PDFs, which are functions I would like from a web clipper. I would definitely award 5 stars if these became available.
  • (2018-03-25) Simon Bulmer: Very cool. Got some serious control over the highlights that I make. Also, the label feature for organising highlights is really neat. It is so so easy to get organised. I can't wait for them to finish some of the other cool features they’re talking about.
  • (2018-03-24) Ellie Fordham: Really happy with the way that Insiite lets me save articles that I find on the web into more than one project. Often the stuff I come across has relevance beyond the project that I'm working on, so most of the time I'll store the article in both my current project folder and the relevant folder of my knowledge base.
  • (2017-10-27) Andy Roddam: Clips all the pages I came across brilliantly. I really like being able to highlight directly in the browser.

Latest issues

  • (2022-03-30, v:4.2.0) Kate Abecia: More highlight colour options.
You can only highlight in green which is quite frustrating. For people with disabilities, (such as people who are green-red color blind, as well as those with disorders such as ADHD, OCD, or autism) this one-colour function can make it difficult to concentrate.
  • (2022-03-30, v:4.2.0) Kate Abecia: Notes duplicating
The notes duplicate multiple times under the notes section. When I open the note from the highlighted text in the document, it will show multiples of the same text. It also cannot be deleted, which is extremely frustrating. I've tried deleting it, re-highlighting and creating new notes but the issue continues to persist.
  • (2021-06-18, v:4.0.3) Jackson Findley: Project and all functions are gone!
Hi, my saved project is gone along with saved articles, highlights, etc. The only function that appears available is add PDF but actually it doesn't work. Is this a known problem, if so temporary or have you stopped working on this extension. Thank you and also I was really happy with this extension before,it's so much better than others. Kind Regards Jackson
  • (2021-06-07, v:3.9.30) Bruna VS: Notes disappeared
I can't see the notes I've made in my highlights in the Source mode, only in the Notes mode. And I can't make new notes either, the speech bubble icon disappeared from my screen. Is this extension still supported? I've contacted the support via the link on their own website more than a week ago and so far no response. Considering the dates here, it seems to have been abandoned by the developers...
  • (2020-09-18, v:3.9.30) Bergg Uscha: Still in development?
It seems to be a useful extension, but it is not frequently updated.
  • (2019-04-29, v:3.6.4) Abdelhak Zaher Benbouali: don't want that the labels window appear in each selection of a note, it is ennoying
don't want that the labels window appear in each selection of a note, it is ennoying however, the app is genius, but this detail discourage me to continue with the app is there a solution thank you
  • (2019-01-15, v:3.2.6) John Klein: multiple computers
Will this extension save to a cloud so that I can see the highlights on multiple computers and android?
