  • (2020-02-07) Mik Cepulis: Really well done & very lightweight (doesn't slow down Chrome!). The Option + Space shortcut is intuitive and fast. Only bug I've found so far is my cursor history isn't respected when switching tabs. Example: typing an email in Gmail, use Opt + Space to jump to a new tab, jump back to Gmail, need to use my mouse to move the cursor back to where it was. Could be a system config issue on my end, however, when I use CMD + 1-9 to jump tabs, my cursor history/placement is respected across tabs. Otherwise, excellent addition to Chrome!
  • (2019-10-08) Gersivan Oliveira: 07/10/2019 - Comigo, apesar do design lindo e "clean", a busca não funciona bem. Qualquer palavra digitada lista todas ou quase todas as abas.
  • (2019-06-17) Atif Ali: Wow! Seriously impressed. I went out looking for a "plugin" for Searchlight (or even if that is possible) to do this and stumbled upon this. I am glad I did. It has made me more productive in 5 minutes of using it and I am not joking. This should be the second top-rated extension in Chrome (right after Adblock :)).

  • (2020-04-27, v:0.0.02) Alex Neth: Can you reduce permission request to browser history?
Requesting permission to view and modify all websites is a huge privacy and security problem.
  • (2019-09-05, v:0.0.02) Patrick Bowen: Have to have Chrome window maximized to start tab search
Each time I want to start a tab search and I'm in another app I have to switch to Chrome and maximize a window to start searching. Is there any way to bypass this and (ideally) just have Spotlight - tab search trigger from the key shortcut? Like system spotlight on Mac?
  • (2019-08-03, v:0.0.02) Charlie Arehart: shouldn't it be searching only tabs matching all letters, not ANY
Thanks for the tool. But I'm finding it has behavior that is unexpected (for me): when I type a word to search for, it finds not just tabs which have THAT word but those which have ANY of the letters in the word typed. For example, if I search for: test, it finds not just tabs that have the words test, but any that have a "t" or "e" or "s" or "t". It even highlights those letters in the search results. We can see this behavior happening in the screenshots here on the extension's page. So it's clearly by design. But it's not at all what I expect it to do, and it results in needless clutter in the results (in my opinion). Yet no one else has brought up this concern. Am I somehow wrong to expect it not to do this? :-) Even if somehow an argument can be made that this IS beneficial, have you considered an option to let us tell it to search ONLY for the word/s we type? I see none in the options, at least the latest version, 0.0.2. Or could you maybe make it that if we quote a word or phrase, it searches only for that? :-)
  • (2019-07-31, v:0.0.02) Chris Mavricos: Please remove debug output
Thanks for the great extension! Seems like it ships in debug mode, so it's printing a bunch of console.log()s every time the search window is opened. Please disable that so it doesn't pollute the console. Thanks so much!

I would love to see a dark theme for this. Or even being able to define all the colours ourself,
