The Scientific Literacy Tool is an educational web-platform helping with the discovery, understanding, and exploration of scientific topics.
Our mission is to lower the barriers to scientific knowledge – promoting a more accessible and inclusive science.
To activate the extension, click on the Literacy Tool icon (top right corner of your chrome browser) – a green tab will appear on the left side of your browser – and you are ready to go! Simply double click on any terminology and start exploring!

- (2014-10-13) Marco Brandizi: Very nice idea! It's already so useful, but I hope authors are thinking of more functionality. For instance: automatic extraction of relevant words from the current page, display of users with similar interests. It also has a few minor bugs, but that's what one expects for a just-launched tool and it already works pretty well anyway!
