Gebeleizis 2025-10-05: This extension only covers the video and the thumbnails with a black "mask". Thus, the RAM ressources and the internet bandwith consumed do not change. The name of the extension suggested something else, in my understanding. Completely useless for me, but may be somehow helpful for somebody else.
