Escape Your Bubble helps you better understand and accept others.
#AS FEATURED IN: Wired Magazine, The Next Web, Mashable & Lifehacker#
#MISSION#
We need to be more accepting of our fellow countrymen.
Our dream is simple. We are appalled by the amount of hatred we have for our political opponents here in America and we want to change that.
We need to make a stronger effort to understand the arguments of our political opponents. We need to be more accepting of the views of our political opponents. And we need to understand that, at the end of the day, we are all trying to do what is best for our country.
So we built a Chrome Extension to help us all out. It works by breaking through your siloed online experience and inserting into your Facebook News Feed articles and pictures which shed your political opponents in a positive light, challenge your worldview, and encourage you to get to know the other side better.
Give it a try right now!
#HOW IT WORKS#
1. Signup for an account on https://www.escapeyourbubble.com and tell us which types of people you'd like to be more accepting of.
2. We'll insert human-curated, positive articles and images into your Facebook News Feed which paint those you'd like to be more accepting of in a positive light.
3. You'll learn to love and accept thy fellow countrymen. Over time, you'll have an open mind towards others, and will become more accepting of those different from you.

- (2018-02-27) Jamison Young: After i made a bad review. The site kept on trying to force me to login. I would open my facebook page, and every time i would open a new page the login page from this site would pop out at me. If this is how they deal with negative press, what to think. Avoid this app. Protect your privacy.
- (2017-12-28) Derek: Requires signing up with email and password... except the create account page says "please fill out all fields before proceeding", when ALL the fields ARE filled out. So, it's useless. A virtual brick. Expected better of something done by Yale.
- (2017-09-26) Kieran Colfer: Is ok in that the articles it shows are often outside of my normal reading style, but it has several annoying features, the main one being that every time I restart my browser and then go to facebook, I get a login window for this app. Also, when I do get shown an article that I'm not interested in reading, I keep seeing the same article until i give in and click on it to make it go away.
- (2017-08-31) Chris Moschini: Doesn't insert anything into my Feed. Suspiciously makes me signup with my email and a password when there's nothing necessitating either to insert stories into Facebook. Does not work. Scam?
- (2017-07-18) Christopher Schodt: Simple, easy to use, useful for greater context.
- (2017-06-28) Pamela Wang: App doesn't slow down Facebook and Chrome functionality and shows me article outside of left-leaning news outlets.
- (2017-05-26) Clicking the links that are inserted into my Feed redirects me back to my Facebook feed, rathar than the article. Kind of defeats the purpose if I can only read headlines but not the actual articles. Would rate higher if fixed.
- (2016-11-27) Calley Wang: Would be nice in addition to articles ABOUT certain groups, have positive articles from WITHIN the group you want to better understand. I highly doubt that Republicans are sharing very many pieces from the New York Times or the Guardian on a regular basis. Would be nice to get some conservative news sources.
- (2016-11-25) Brian Salomaki: I love the idea, and I almost always click on the story that shows up in my FB feed. However, the stories are often from 1-2 years ago when I'd love to see things from the last week.
- (2016-11-25) Mahen Nowzadic: For all the SJW crybabies out there. This is an app that will make you get out of your bubble and understand / process the real world news!
- (2016-11-14) Kevin Jiang: Barely noticeable extension, that doesn't interfere with daily web use, but provides those hidden gems that after reading, really does shape your perspective. Will it get me to Escape My Bubble? Too early to tell, but it gets my thumbs up
