Opmerking: ondersteuning voor complexe streamingprotocollen en videoconversie vereist de installatie van een begeleidende applicatie. Dit komt omdat de browser (noch Chrome noch Firefox) niet de benodigde interface biedt. Eenmaal geïnstalleerd, wordt de begeleidende applicatie volledig beheerd door de add-on en hoeft u zich er geen zorgen over te maken. De bijbehorende applicatie is gratis en open-source. Het is al meer dan 10 miljoen keer geïnstalleerd.
Let op: vanwege Google WebStore-beperkingen downloadt de Chrome-versie van de add-on geen video's van YouTube. Gebruik hiervoor de Firefox- of Edge-versie.
