• (2023-10-20) Tom: Once a great extension - now it's broken ... avoid it like the plague! I've been using EverSync for synchronizing my bookmarks between multiple devices for nearly 6 years. It worked great and kept things working smoothly, but lack of care and attention from EverHelper has driven it into the ground. It has reached the point where this extension is no longer useful. Worse yet, it has become a serious liability that puts my bookmarks at risk. Case in point, the extension randomly decided to delete ALL of my bookmarks this morning. Had I relied on EverSync, I would have lost years of carefully-selected bookmarks. Fortunately, I have backups available in cloud storage. It's time to retire this broken piece of programming. Sadly, their site is so broken that account management links return a 404 page. Looks like I missed the funeral. ZERO stars and avoid it at all costs!

Initial sync worked up to server, but not auto-syncing and even a manual sync with Merge changes not updating the copy I can see online so nothing is in sync. I can only get this to work if I overwrite the data which is not a lot of use if I have made different changes on different systems, so having to manually update the online copy each time and then manually sync down to each browser - I may as well just keep importing the bookmarks and maintain a local backup at that point.

I have to overwrite the server data because even though the extension displays a successful sync status, the links are not actually being updated. I do not recommend it any longer

Changes must be made on the server or the user must perform a manual upload sync (overwrite server data) to get consistent data between server and browser. Auto-sync is broken.

  On Brave as of yesterday (July Sixth) if I attempt to run the Speed Dial backup it will run and *appear* to complete when it - in actuality - is not. The categories themselves show up, their contents *do not* (it in fact reports *at best* that only twenty Dials have been backed up to the cloud with the rest - over five hundred - only machine side). Prior to this is attempted to add in dials I have never actually used into varied categories, thus requiring a clean up. A similar issue occurs on Firefox except that only the "default" category has anything in it. I initially thought that the issue simply required an attempt to overwrite the server side with my local data ... This changed nothing whatsoever.

  I have two Windows 10 computers, with Chrome and Firefox (latest versions) installed on both of them. A month ago, ES (free version) stopped working in Chrome on one computer. The other three browsers all sync up fine with one another and the EverSync server. On the Chrome toolbar where ES is broken, the "FVD Synchronizer" icon shows up gray (which I guess means deactivated); on the other three, it shows up blue (activated). But I can click on the "broken" browser icon, which brings up a popup containing a "Login" and a "EverHelper Account" button (along with some other irrelevant buttons). When I click "Login", I get a page that shows I'm logged in, but it offers no way to initiate a backup. When I click "EverHelper Account", it takes me to my bookmarks on the server, which are those synced among the other three browsers, but are not the same as the bookmarks on this browser. And there's no way to initiate a sync with this browser from there. Let me add that, on the browsers where ES is working, the pop evoked by clicking the "FVD Synchronizer" icon shows a "Start Synchronization" button rather than the "Login" button that appears on the "broken" browser. I tried removing and reinstalling EverSync on the "broken" browser. Nothing changed. I tried to get help from EverSync, but my messages submitted (starting three weeks ago) at https://www.everhelper.me/contact-us.php have gotten NO response. I have a lot of bookmarks (~15,000), and the paid "Pro" version promised it would handle an unlimited number. It also promised something like "premium" customer support. So I signed up for a month. A note on the Account page now acknowledges that "Your account is premium", and I can get to a page at https://everhelper.me/user-billing/support that offers a "Support" form. But two messages via that form have still produced NO RESPONSE. I just discovered that I can submit extension support requests here, thru the Google Webstore, so I'm giving it this one more try.

  I shut down my computer and everything was fine before I shut it down. When I restarted the computer everything was gone, and all of my settings were changed to what I guess are default. I have EverSync installed ( sor at least it appears to be installed) and I can see all of my dials but I cannot synchronize what is on this computer with what is on my desktop computer, even right now. I don't want to wipe out everything, I just want this new computer to go back to having my FVD Speed Dial go back to the way that it was, and still is on the other computer. What does it take to make EverSync actually work and to restore this computer to the synchronized state that the other computer (the one that is on my desk) is in appearance and functionality as it was when I started out yesterday. I can see all of the dials, etc. in Sync on this computer, I just cannot get them to open with chrome as they used to do and add them back onto this computer. I have no idea how they landed on this computer but they were there and they were correctly loaded, and now they are gone and all of the settings that were on my FVD Speed Dial have disappeared as well. If EverSync is supposed to "Sync" what to I have to do to get it to actually sync all of my dials and settings so that they actually appear as they should, e.g. as they appear on my desktop computer, and as they used to do? Essentially, what must I do to actually get EverSync to do its job and actually "Ever Sync" this computer?

I went to overwrite my data on the server to reflect that and I no longer have an option to back up my dials. Really? I used to get shown a tab with back up dials and then get the option to blend what I have with the server, overwrite what's on the server (which is what I want to do) and overwrite what's on my computer (which I want to do on my laptop). Now I don't get that option and it seems I'm being told I have to pay $5/month now to get something you've been giving me for free for all these years??!!! Not good. Please help!! All that I want to do is DECREASE the number of dials I have in your cloud and sync between computers like I've been doing all along.

  Many of my dials are not populating the graphic for the sped dials. I accidently hit the re sinc button and over half of the speed dials didn't find the graphics. I can send a screen shot if the would help.

  Don't touch if its aint broken. Features must be optional - not mandatory. I need to see my dials, regardless of your perception of the world. If I'll ever need to hide 'em I'll figure out how to create codes locks etc. Remove that stupid undying popup and return my dials on the screen. There's lots of alternatives on the market. And I am looking for one right now.
