Salesforce Colored Favicons
Updates the standard favicon on Salesforce tabs with colored versions to help differentiate between different organizations.
Supports both Classic and Lightning Experiences and includes separate icons for production, sandbox, and develop/scratch orgs.
To use the extension, simply navigate to a Salesforce org and the extension will automatically select a random color for it then update the favicon with that color. Now every time you visit that org, the colored favicon will be displayed instead of the default Salesforce favicon. At this point you can also visit the options page to change the color for any org you've visited.

Love this extension, but it's no longer retaining the set color for the fav icon and keeps reverting to a light color, perhaps it's related to a recent Chrome update.
This use to work beautifully, but as of a month ago, the colors are getting overwritten and not saving with what I'm choosing in the extension. I even removed the extension and added it again but it's still not working as it use to.
Incredible extension, and couldn't thank Steve Babula enough. But since a week or so, Salesforce is overwriting the color and adding a different one for each environment regardless of what I select in this extension settings. I reset my settings in the extension, removed all orgs and logged in again, and changed the color to my desired ones, but salesforce still overwrites it, not sure why. :|
Its not working properly. It gives same color for all the instance no matter how many times I changed
Good
amazing tool! Thanks
Very handly and makes your life a lot easy if you have to work in multiple orgs all the time (e.g Consultant, App Provider)

So helpful!! If you work in more than one org at a time this will have a great impact on your productivity.
I really appreciate being able to see that I am in a different instance by color. I just realized that you can click on the color it auto-assigns so you can change it to be something further away from other instances in case you work in 4 or 5 like I do. This solves a huge problem for me and am so grateful someone on my team showed this to me.
I've been using this extension since shortly after it was released, and it's a great example of a tool that identifies a problem (getting your tabs mixed up when you multiple orgs open at once), provides a solution, and does it well. It may not have dozens of features or tons of bells and whistles, but it doesn't need them because it doesn't what it needs to do. Despite its simplicity, it is one of the top 3 or so extensions that I really rely on and would miss if it went away. Pre-Google Sync days, I kept a list of extensions to reinstall whenever I got a new laptop, and this was at the very top of the list. It's still at the top of the list when I supply a list of recommended extensions to new devs.
So simple and so useful! Thanks to the devs!
Overall great little extension. The only reason I'm doing 4 stars, instead of 5, is the apparent lack of cross machine syncing. I have 4 different machines that I could potentially be working from at any given time and add/remove instances regularly (consultant). It would be amazing if there was a way for these to sync cross browser. I use Brave Browser everywhere, but when I go install this extension, it's completely empty on each new machine and I have to re-setup all current environments. Overall, great tool and I'm now annoyed when I'm on a machine that doesn't have it :)
The color of the Org icon briefly appears in the specified color and then changes back to the default Org color. How can I fix this? This started happening at some point.
Awesome tool that really helps me everyday! (making sure I don't mess around in the wrong Salesforce org 😉) It even supports the new "salesforce-setup.com" domain.
The extension functions as anticipated, but it has a frustrating flaw: settings and configurations fail to apply when reinstalling the browser or profile, likely due to a lack of integration with the Microsoft Edge sync process. In contrast, other extensions, such as "Org Header for Salesforce," restore seamlessly. Should the developer resolve this issue, I would gladly rate it five stars.
Works like a charm
awesome extension, very good to visually distinguish between the different orgs and customers. as i switched to arc browser, it would be nice to have an export and import function, so i can have the same icon colors in the new browser, as I am used to them. is this possible?
Love the extension , very helpful , I appreciate the team that thought of this!!!
I love this extension! Great for people switching from sandbox to production as well as working in multiple orgs at once. The cloud has an S for sandbox so it's very obvious.
Awesome extension, been using it for a long while now and has saved me from accidentally modifying Prod or the wrong sandbox. Please update the extension to accommodate the new Salesforce Setup Domain (*.salesforce-setup.com) as explained in this article: New Setup Domain FAQ (https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=001395243&type=1). Currently the tab on this new Setup Domain shows the default blue cloud icon if the org is on the new setup domain. More orgs will experience this as the Summer 24 Release is rolled out.
The Setup domain has changed on several sandbox instances. Please update the app to remedy it! Have always loved using it.
We have 5 sandboxes and Prod, so this has been a godsend. However, today it stopped working on two of the sandbox's tabs, which is very disappointing. I don't know why. I even removed it, and set the colors all over again, but the two sandboxes remain standard Salesforce blue. Does anyone know why this has happened and how to resolve it? Thanks
This is a nice tool, but its too limited. It would be more helpful if it allowed me to set the favicon image. Or if it allowed us to change the color of any site. Here are a few that give the blue cloud but will not allow us to update them. https://help.salesforce.com/ https://pi.pardot.com/ https://pi.demo.pardot.com/
Even if you work for a salesforce 'end user' and just have have a Prod and a couple of Sandboxes, this is useful but if your work for a consultancy and are connected to multiple customers Prod and sandbox orgs, this app is an absolute lifesaver, to prevent actions taking place on the wrong org!
Great, simple tool, very valuable for automatically keeping orgs straight. This has made my life just a little bit better.
This extension is a great help when having multiple environments open at the same time! I recommend this tool for anyone else using Salesforce.

In our quest for digital efficiency, it is sometimes the small details that make a big difference. I'm grateful, then, not just for this extension, but for the reminder of the importance of life's intricate details. Thank you for developing this helpful tool.

This extension is a lifesaver if you work in multiple SF orgs on a daily basis, including sandboxes of a single org. It's simple, functional, and even actively maintained by the developer. 👍

As an admin who is constantly going back and forth between Production and sandboxes for testing, this has been game changing. I've only had this extension a week and already I have seen the benefits during a recent project where I'm jumping between doing some testing in a sandbox, back to Production for regular follow up/management. Simple and super brilliant. It wasn't clear at first how to actually make update the designated colors. I didn't see any clear instructions on the store, either (go to the extension, then click Extension Options, click the color of the org, update and make sure you click SAVE).

An excellent extension, simple to use and effective. If the publisher ever considered creating an ISO 27001 compliant version I'd happily pay to use it for professional purposes, as I'm sure would many others! Really great extension, much appreciation to the publisher for filling a gap left by Salesforce not providing an option to customise site favicons. I agree with the recent comments. It was great until it recently started requiring permissions to to read/change data.
I had to disable this extension because of the sudden change to allow reading of data for visited websites. Hopefully, the developer will revert this.

I loved this extension, until it started requiring access to read and change my data on all salesforce sites. I have a regulatory obligation to protect that data, so now I'm stuck removing this extension and finding another way to deal with keeping my orgs straight. Please take that permission away again - this has worked so well without it for so long!

I am not able to use this. Options are empty when on a salesforce tab

Hey, I love this! I've used it for years and recommended it to anyone else who's a SFDC admin / dev as an essential tool. I admittedly did come here just to let the dev know that the new URL format SFDC launched broke the extension for sites (X.secure.force.com or X--testing.sandbox.my.salesforce-sites.com)
Love this extension. AS a consultant I work in multiple SF orgs and being able to easily differentiate which org is which by the color of the tab is a huge time saver, and avoids accidentally doing something in the wrong org. Highly recommend this extension!
Very useful extension to help differentiate the Salesforce environments you are logged into. It changes the color of the Salesforce logo on the tab. Great work! Thank you, Steve!
Best extension for Salesforce users! I recommend it to everyone I work with, as it's definitely a must have!
