Allows Pocket Casts’ web app to play episodes without subscribing to a podcast.
This Chrome extension allows Pocket Casts’ web app users to play episodes without subscribing to a podcast, as well as control playback using their keyboard media keys (Play/Pause).
Play Buttons and Episode Length
One shouldn’t need to subscribe to a podcast to listen to a single episode. This extension simply reveals the length and play button for episodes when viewing a podcast that you’re not subscribed to within Pocket Casts’ superb web interface.
Media Play/Pause Key
If your device has a Play/Pause media key, this extension attempts to control the playback functionality in your Pocket Casts tab when you press this key.

- (2017-04-09) Some One: Works beautifully. Does exactly what it claims to do. I'm not sure why Pocket Casts won't add the ability to play episodes without subscribing to a podcast. It shouldn't be necessary to use a browser extension for this, but fortunately one exists and it works perfectly. Thanks!
- (2017-01-05) Ajith Antony: What a great extension. Having to subscribe before I listen to an episode is so frustrating. Thank you. Note to others, this will not work with the "Pocketcaster" extension that prepares a chrome app. It does work if you turn your bookmark into a desktop short cut to run in a new window. So this is a strange bug. After upgrading my Mac from macOS Sierra (10.13) to macOS Catalina (10.15), I noticed that the Play/Pause key on my keyboard had stopped working for the Pocket Casts desktop app on Mac. But when I disable your Chrome extension, the key does work. Now, here's the weirdest part - if I uninstall your extension completely, the Play/Pause key stops controlling Pocket Casts again. So that key only works when Pocket Casts Voodoo is installed but disabled. Weird right? Any ideas?
