What is it? A simple way to enter Accents & Diacritics, Foreign and Special Characters into body of Google Gmail emails.
How it works? Keep pressing any given letter until you see its accented counterpart! The technique itself is very easy to learn!
Supported Languages & Accents:
Catalan: à, ç, é, è, í, ï, ó, ò, ú, ü
Czech: á, é, í, ó, ú, ý, č, ď, ě, ň, ř, š, ť, ž, ů
French: à, â, æ, ä, ç, é, è, ê, ë, î, ï, ô, œ, ö, ù, û, ü, ÿ
Galician: á, é, í, ó, ú
German: ä, ö, ü, ß. Note: Use letter 'b' to type: ß
Finish/Swedish: ä, å, ö
Italian: à, è, é, ì, í, î, ò, ó, ù, ú

- (2022-02-11) Stephanie Coffin: Does not work. I watched the videos and followed the instructions but it is not working in Gmail using chrome. I am on a corporate gmail account so maybe that prevents it from working perhaps? I wish I could use this because it looks like it would be really handy to have. I will have to go back to cut & pasting (which is horrid) :(
- (2021-07-01) C D: does not work!! I have tried everything and I need the accents nearly all the times. Works with numeric keyboard but do not always have the numeric keyboard and accents are very important in French!!

- (2019-09-10) Matthew Eaton: It's very useful to add accented characters in gmail, but sometimes, when writing (especially when adding spaces or deleting characters), the extension will write "undefined" over and over again, and if you try do delete the "undefined" it keeps popping back up, so that is frustrating.

- (2019-05-10) Fabrice Habelski: I write in French and English all the time for work and personal use. I had macros set up in Outlook, which worked great. Since I ditched Outlook and went with Gmail, I've been looking for a suitable solution. Right-clicking every word that needs an accent was a bear. And sometimes there was no prompt for an accent. Anyway, this app is FANTASTIC. It's simple, easy to use and FAST. So glad I found it.

I installed, got the icon. The first time I clicked your icon, it just disappeared. I removed it, and installed it again, then clicked it. This time it showed your language selection page. I selected Spanish, moved to gmail, typed ooooo, just got ooooo. I looked up at the extensions icon bar, and yours had once again disappeared. It seems your extension works erratically and basically not at all. I'm on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 running Windows 10 Home version 20H2. Your extension never even displays in Brave -- my main browser now. It was previously FireFox. Both Brave & FireFox claim to support Chrome extensions, but in this case, they don't for me. I didn't send this, though until I tried in in Chrome 89.0.4389.114 (Official Build) (64-bit). I'm Bill Crews @ [email protected]. I would appreciate feedback on this.
