Description from store Note: updated for the latest GMail as of 2020-05-11 Enables user to apply CSS to GMail message viewer and editor for selected labels only. Created for mailing list message viewing and editing that works best with monospace fonts but useful in many situations. Configuring CSS properties and one or more label names. Can be used to increase font size in GMail editor without causing the email to be sent in the larger font or even rich text (HTML) format. Only affects your view of the message in the editor, not the recipient.

  • (2020-03-11) Paul White: The idea is great, but unfortunately not working on new Gmail interface. I make extensive use of labels to track 100s of mails from system health checks. Hopefully someone finds a work around. Paul
  • (2018-01-18) David Brodbeck: Really basic, but also really handy. I'm a system administrator and get a lot of reports with formatted ASCII tables, etc. in my email. This lets me make them properly readable again.
  • (2016-08-08) Pretty good if you use filters to autolabel your messages. I have it set up to show various automated reports in monospaced fonts so the columns line up nicely again.

  • (2018-05-24, v:0.7) Cengiz Can: New GMail
Please update the extension to support new GMail UI design. (As I see, `font` attribute is not getting overridden because it moved to a higher HTML node)
  • (2018-05-19, v:0.7) Christopher Johnson: update for new Gmail?
Extension does not appear to work with the new Gmail interface. Any chance for an update?
  • (2016-08-08, v:0.7) Match everything but default to !Styled
The addition of the "Styled" button that can be toggled on and off is useful by itself. If it were on *every* message but initialized to !Styled, then it could be a de facto "Show this message in monospace (or larger, or...)" button.
  • (2016-08-08, v:0.7) Match on other fields than Label
Matching on fields other than the label would be useful. For instance, if Joe always sends me tabular data, then "From: Joe" would be very handy.
  • (2016-08-08, v:0.7) glob or regex in label match
Some rudimentary pattern matching for labels could be very handy for those of us who subcategorize within labels (e.g., Notifications/machine1, Notifications/machine2, ... would become Notifications/* [or ".*"])
