Description from extension meta

Quick tab navigation. Jump to last tab (previous tab), bookmark tabs, jump jump!

Image from store Tab Monkey
Description from store If you have a lot of tabs open, the ability to bookmark tabs and jump directly to them, as well as to the previously active tab, will save you a lot of time. This extension does that. I personally make GMail #1, music streaming (beastmode.fm) #2, Netflix #3 and quickly bounce between them and 50 other tabs. [Updated 1/26/12 to work across multiple windows]

  • (2013-07-05) Jay Rinaldi: Oh this extension is just what I've been looking for since ages. Too bad it has this hardwired shortcuts, since I can't use them on my keyboard, since I have ALT-2 for my @ which I can't type anymore. So it rendered it useless for me. Otherwise full 5 stars.
  • (2013-06-14) Thomas Willheim: Just what I was looking for. Can now jump between two tabs. Too bad it gets rid of the preset ability to jump between tabs 1-8. Now you have to bookmark anything you want to jump to. Why not give users the option to use the boomarking tool, when some of them probably only want the "jump between 2 tabs ability"

  • (2013-04-20) Sergio Bedoya: Finally somebody thinks of that. The time I save is huge!
  • (2012-12-13) Andrew Hewitt: I've been looking for an extension that does just this for a while and all others have disappointed in one way or another. Tab Monkey does what I want and even a little more by allowing for bookmarking tabs. Thanks guys.

  • (2012-12-06, v:0.2.4) Duncan Sargeant: multiple window behaviour
This doesn't work very well with multiple windows. 1) If you switch windows, ^Q continues to switch the tabs in the old window. 2) If you then click on a tab manually in the new window, ^Q has no effect until you click a second tab. Hard to say, but it's consistent with Tab Monkey only remembering the last two tabs globally, rather than the last two tabs for each window.
