• (2023-07-25) Vijay Suthar: Google Tag Manager provides an 8-digit ID in the format GTM-XXXXXXXX. Unfortunately, Google Tag Manager Debugger and Google Tag Assistant only support 7-digit IDs. As a result, we are facing difficulties in utilizing Google Tag Manager effectively, and we are unable to set up and verify other events using these tools. This limitation hinders our ability to fully utilize the potential of Google Tag Manager and impacts our ability to track and manage events accurately. We hope that future updates or improvements to these tools will resolve this issue and allow us to make the most out of Google Tag Manager for our website's analytics and tracking needs.

• (2023-02-13) Sigurður Guðbrandsson: This extension is okay, despite being a legacy extension. However, it is not reliable in the default "auto" mode. To make this extension reliable, you should either: 1. Start recording a specific tab, then load the page, wait for the tags to fire and then stop the recording and view the results 2. Disable the auto mode, and enable the extension before you load any page on that tab. We've been debugging why Google Analytics 4 doesn't always fire on our pages, and after doing a lot of modifications and debugging we found that this extension was not reporting tags correctly in the default auto mode. I hope this helps others debugging their installations.

  Hello, Extensions shows that CDATA doesn't have comments (Warning: Missing CDATA comments.), even when there are comments. I think you have only checking for the /* */ but there are also // comments in javascript. For example this behaviour exists in rails when using javascript_tag or HAML's :javascript placeholder.   I recently changed the code on my site to the new remarketing script and enhanced link attribution. The assistant is telling me this - Error: Unknown method name: '_require' for my google analytics code. Is this a problem or is the assistant just not updated for enhanced inpage analytics? thanks
