- a few glitches, or time wasted connecting to new pages, but works great otherwise and doesn't require you to pay extra to increase reading speed (unlike Speechify)

- Superb software, it makes accessing information so much easier and enjoyable. I often read and listen at the same time which improves my understanding and reduces the cognitive effort of reading. The voices are realistic, the pitch, pace and pauses of the delivery are very natural.

- Good at some things, bad at others. I like Natural Reader because I like to listen to fan fiction while I'm working and it is a lot faster than Edge's native reader, but like Edge, it really struggles with line breaks and to a lesser extent, formatting like bold and italics. It works alright when put into a text editor like a reply, but that is really annoying when I want to listen to a multi-post work because it can start to bounce around like crazy. It would be nice if it could somehow read like all the formatting has been stripped out.

- amazing a def worth a try

- I have been using the software version (paid $200) for years and appreciated it. but PLEASE allow the option to remove or turn off the floating headphones Icon on Google Docs for the Chrome Extension. It's not only very distracting, but it pops up anytime I click something, making it cover buttons and options in the taskbar of Google Docs so how there's parts I literally can not access because the headphones icon wont!!!!!! go!!! away!!!!!

- Just got turned on to listening to books. I use Linux and I'm unable to run a native text to speech engine for Amazon Kindle books. I open the book on a web page and run Natural reader Chrome add on, and it works very well. It's great when my eyes get tired.

- when ever i try to change voice or try to upgrade the plan the browser crashes, i am using vivaldi browser and it crashes in it, in Microsoft edge it doesn't crash.

- after getting and doing the long process of logging in, it doesn't let you use it, you need to pay to use it

- So far great extension. Great voices, easy setup, easy to use.

- Frustrating and only kinda works, if you can live with an extension that completely forgets your choice of voice and sometimes also highlighting settings, every 15-20 minutes. Imagine hearing a sultry female voice, only for the next sentence to be in a deep male voice. Other issues include not loading unless having to click on the extension icon sporadicly, or clicking the play button taking you to their website out of nowhere instead of playing, all randomly. One time you can use the button, next page of a lightnovel it jumps to their web ui for uploading texts instead. Favorites stopped working about a year back, before that you could at least favorite the voice you want to switch quickly when it turns back to the first in the list, now you have to search for the voice (using amy). Few years back reading a line with 3 dots after each other stopped the reading, they fixed that at least.. many years back they changed from unlimited characters pr day to 1mill without letting you know other than hitting the limit. Some 4-5 years back they changed again to 500.000 characters however they did let you know and as i recall refunded the remaining part of your subscription if you didn't like it.. At some point it was changed to 250.000 but they changed that back to 500k at least. I have reported this many times over the years (yes have been a pro subscriber for years now) but nothing has ever seemed to be done about it. To be quite honest with the development of other AI's that has been going on the past year, I do not see my self resubscribing this time around when my yearly subscription is up for renewal.

- For it being free, it rocks. I give a thumbs down for the price and the lack of at least one super solid voice (I am frugal). If you did a perpetual license I'd be sold.

- Amazing!! Great app to close/rest your eyes and still get the info at 2x speed

- This software has made it so much easier for me to focus and retain information, it's crazy! I would have had such a hard time getting thru college without it.

- I use this to read my online course material quicker and write notes while I listen. Unlike other text to speech aps, this one has been able to read directly off webpages, documents, and, ebooks without having to download everything. As long as I can open it, NaturalReader reads it for me.
- Emily DeClark
- I love using natural reader. It's free and the pro just lets you upload bigger files and use better sounding voices which I don't need. I use it on my phone, my iPad, and have it as a browser extension on my laptop. I'm autistic and on my overstimulated days I just shut down so hard I can't read. This is the best app/website I have found because the interface in beginner friendly, there's no pop-up ads despite being free, and the features I need aren't blocked behind a paywall. I have it read me directions for assignments, articles, sometimes just a nice short story I found online. A couple times I had pdf versions of books and I would upload it to the app on my phone to listen to my books without having to pay for audible or something. Another great feature in the app is that it saves your spot in readings in several files at once. I haven't even noticed a limit on how many files you can have saved. I don't think I would be as far into college as I am without natural reader. The temptation to use AI when you're young and struggling with assignments is strong and Natural Reader has helped me stay away from that. It gives me just the support I need to get through my hard days.

- Perfect text to speach reader fr all types of files both from within and without web pages.

- Really bad. Can not even detect the language, horrible experience...0 out of 10

- The Google Chrome extension fails to work when selecting text. The customer support is abysmal; you only ever get responses from a bot, with almost no human interaction. There is no option for a one-month subscription, likely because the service performs so poorly. Instead, they force you into a one-year commitment upfront. The core issue, however, is that they simply do not fix bugs. This is the biggest problem of all. It is unclear what the company's management is thinking. In this day and age, an AI-driven company should operate much differently. To the administration: Take the list of reviews, feed them into an AI chat, and let it tell you exactly what you need to fix.
