- (2025-08-20) Jessica McCormick: Like others have said, when this tool was a Gmail extension it was pretty consistent and generally worked as expected. The Chrome extension is hot garbage that was clearly released too early. My team experiences frequent callback errors, issues logging to cases and issues getting the extension to select the active email. You have to wonder if there's any connection to the CEO bragging about not hiring software engineers anymore.
- (2025-08-20) Katie Osborn: Half the time the connector doesn't work and when it does it doesn't always log to the correct accounts. Additionally half the time the case names do not show up or they show the wrong case names. Can't say that we love it at the moment.
- (2025-08-20) Christopher Martinez: Easy to keep using Gmail and still log the emails. It just disconnects once in a while. Clear cache and cookies and then up and running again!
- (2025-08-19) Megan Digweed-Davies: This was previously a very useful tool, but the new update has caused all sorts of issues. Users have had to completely remove and re-add the extension, along with clearing their cache and cookies. There is also a bug where sent emails no longer log unless the user manually logs it from their Sent Items. The fact it doesn't support the Gmail app any longer is frustrating to many of our users too.

- (2025-08-18) Luke Reifler: Efficient way to log sent GMail records. Occasional error notices but that tends to be related to timed out sign-in.

- (2025-08-13) Joris Goeman: They need an urgent fix because the latest version's "New Side Panel" always results in a “URL No Longer Exists” error :-( Only workaround for now is to remove and re-add the extension, refresh your gmail, log into salesforce, and then !!!! click the BACK button until you get to the initial "This side panel is moving" window, and there click "Maybe later" !!!!

I have been using the gmail extension as part of google workspace for years but I was forced to switch to this chrome version and it rarely loads there is no way to collapse it you leave it open or close it and it no longer defaults to the correct account when I am in an email. I already hate updating SF this makes it so much harder
- (2025-08-07) Susan Joseph: Users are struggling with the tool after their latest update. It is crashing every now and then and is so random that when tickets are raised, it starts working by the time someone responds from the support team. Please leave the option to use the old version forever.
- (2025-08-06) Zlatin Zlatev: As it now uses the SideBar API, I cannot use this extension with PWA services installed as apps. And I want them installed as apps, to avoid cluttering my tabs with a lot of Google calendars, Gmail inboxes, Google meets, etc.

- (2025-08-04) Shannon DeFries: Finally figured it out!!! It's very buggy on the initial install. I was super frustrated getting page no longer found. 1. Delete the extension 2. Clear your chrome cache / history 3. Shut down chrome, Restart your computer (at least I did) 4. Reinstall the extension. 5. On Mac - Hit Command+E and the extension will appear on Gmail AND other sites with some additional AI features. Jury is still out how helpful the added features are but it will prompt you on your emails to log them which is nice instead of the docked side panel.
- (2025-08-04) Elizabeth Hall: What happened to the old integration? This new extension crashes constantly and the link to submit to salesforce when there is an issue never works. This is an essential extension, but the new update and integration is terrible and doesn't work.

- (2025-08-01) Karina Fernandez: I'm a huge fan of everything Salesforce, even if some things are clunky and a bit old school sometimes, but please remove the new Salesforce sidebar integration. 🙏🙏🙏 Our sales team need to log their emails efficiently and effectively. I totally agree with many others that are having issues with this "new" salesforce/gmail extension. Please bring back the native gmail integration extension. This side-panel thing is not the answer. ☹️💔

I keep clicking on "maybe later" when it asks me if I want to try the Salesforce sidebar integration... and I'm willing to defer that forever. Your new integration isn't good... and it isn't helpful in my workflows. It actually makes things worse... my world would be better with your new new extension not installed AT ALL. If you truly do deprecate the current Gmail native integration I'm not going to use your new sidebar version... there's no utility for me and it makes my browsing experience terrible. I'll have to find some 3rd party Gmail extension... and they all suck. The integration you have now (the previous version) saves me so much time. In fact, if I didn't have it... I probably wouldn't log emails at all which completely defeats the purpose of why you have the ability to link emails to Salesforce records in the first place. And no, it doesn't work for me to send emails natively from within Saledforce. Please listen to your customers and change your mind on killing the native email integration. The new version is junk.

- (2025-07-31) Michael Berry: It's even more glitchy than before; Gmail emails are not copying to SalesForce. It temporarily worked when I cleared my cache and reinstalled the extension but now it's not working again.

- (2025-07-30) Wesley Turner: Echoing what others have said. This new update is atrocious. First off it requires you have the side bar open at all times. So using this on a small laptop screen is cramped. The previous version would automatically pop up a box and you just logged it right there. Now a box pops up but it doesn't do anything. It just opened the email you sent. It rarely actually finds the correct lead, opportunity, etc I want to associate the email with. And when it actually does if you choose it it won't allow you to save. I often have to either refresh the entire page or hit the button to put the side bar away and reopen so it refreshes just that window. Then it usually works. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries before it works. All in all, this new update is a MAJOR step back. Do not recommend.

- (2025-07-25) David Ditto: Great improvements lately. It is very useful for associating emails with various Accounts, Leads, Opportunities, etc.. Would love future updates to include automatic relinking of new emails in the same thread to a Salesforce object that has already been linked in the past.
- (2025-07-25) Charlotte CHARLES: Same as a few others : as a Corp Admin I have no issue using the new sidebar, but my users get the "URL No Longer Exists" popup when they try to log in. Please fix this! Edit (25.07.25): with the help of Salesforce Support team, I was able to reenable the addon for my users. It requires a big cleaning of the browser, but in the end it works. The upgrade would have been better if seamless, but at least we still can use this powerful tool!
- (2025-07-25) Jeremy Nimmo: The new way of opening the side panel, which I assume was driven by the recent malicious changes made by Google to Chrome to stop adblockers from working, causes problems. For example, when you have searched an 'Other' object type like a 'Case' to log an email against, you may see the title of one of the objects repeated multiple times in the 'Other' area- usually the wrong one. This is disconcerting, though things still work if you selected the right object when making your search. If the new-style panel (likely necessitated by those malicious changes Google made) just doesn't load at all for you, you may need to clear the cookies/site data for the 'force.com' and 'salesforce.com' (or, I guess, custom domains) then logout and login for it to work. Shouldn't be necessary, but if you have to do it, you have to do it.
- (2025-07-24) Kaleb Moseman: The process of switching to the new sidebar is obtuse and confusing. The tutorial is easy to lose, and once it's gone, it's gone for good. Hopefully this helps someone. If you've lost the sidebar in Gmail, clicking the Salesforce Icon in your extensions bar (The puzzle piece icon) will make the new sidebar appear. It works generally the same way as the old sidebar did inside of gmail. This implementation is clunkier, confusing, and takes more time to use effectively. If the volume of feedback isn't obvious enough, I'll say it outright, change it back, please.
- (2025-07-24) Courtney Shaw: The Salesforce integration in Chrome directed me to make a change, and now the extension doesn't work and keeps redirecting me to a site that doesn't exist. Would give 0 stars if I could. So glad we pay a ton of money to Salesforce for products that don't work and absolutely no support.
- (2025-07-24) Theresa O'Brien: Re many others below: This new update has made the Salesforce extension unusable in the Arc browser. CMD+E does not open the side bar and even clicking on the extension itself does nothing. The only workaround (which my colleague shared with me) is uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, and selecting not to use the new side panel, but I have to do this multiple times per day. This extension functioning in Arc is a vital part of my daily workflow, so I really hope you’ll consider restoring compatibility as it was an awesome tool prior to the update!
- (2025-07-24) Florian Terhart: Since the extension is suggesting to switch from the direct integration in Gmail or Google Calendar, it is not working anymore. There is always a redirection to a non-existing Salesforce-Page.
- (2025-07-23) Michael Parrish: This updated version is a significant improvement over the previous iteration from a few weeks ago. We had constant issues that now seem to be resolved. Thank you for that, SF. It still occasionally has issues logging emails to SF, but they are very manageable and there are no errors.
- (2025-07-23) Simon Urbanek: Uninstalled the old sidebar widget as requested. When trying to log in through this feature then, I get a 404. So bad. This extension is not working at all.
- (2025-07-22) Nigel Williams: The new version does not work, I remove the old sidebar as instructed, and when I click on the Log in to Salesforce I get: URL No Longer Exists You have attempted to reach a URL that no longer exists on salesforce.com.

- (2025-07-22) Daniela Recio-Oquendo Fernandez: I gave the new extension a try (about a week) and I had to go back to the old version. The search box does not auto clear after the email is sent so I have to remember to clear it every time. It does not recognize automatically I am sending a new communication and it needs to be associated to a different account. Also, it kept disappearing and I had to click on the extension icon TWICE every time. Definitely dislike this update!

- (2025-07-21) Erin Labrie: The latest update to the Salesforce extension has made it unusable in the Arc browser. CMD+E no longer opens the sidebar, which means there’s currently no way to access or use the extension in Arc. The only workaround I’ve found is to uninstall and reinstall the extension, and then choose not to use the new side panel. Having to do that multiple times a day is inefficient and disruptive. The extension is a vital part of my daily workflow. But so is Arc, and it’s central to how I work. I’d really prefer not to switch back to Chrome. Please consider restoring compatibility. Power users like me truly depend on it!

- (2025-07-17) Admin Academy: If you are having trouble logging in after the new update, clear all your cookies and cache for Gmail and the Salesforce extension. Also, Salesforce, it doesn't help that the Learn More link showed in the new update for the side panel goes to a 404.
