Latest reviews

  • (2021-09-10) Manas Madrecha: Just a blank box appears for both local files and Github raw markdown view. Even enabling access to Local files does not do anything.
  • (2020-12-26) Adam Reece: Did absolutely nothing. Dragged a file in it, just a plain white box. (Yes, I had DEFINITELY enabled access to file URLs first.)
  • (2020-11-02) Zdravko Mavkov: Does not work with local files. Allow access to file URLs is enabled in its settings.
  • (2020-07-13) Enrique Reyes: Didn't work in my browser (Versão 83.0.4103.106 (Versão oficial) 64 bits). I'm on Arch OS (5.7.7-arch1-1). The page (local file) show pretty inside a grey box but the md content doesn't appear at all.
  • (2020-03-22) Nico Alba: I've enabled allow access to file URLs, when I drop a .md file into Chrome, it just downloads the file instead of opening it...
  • (2020-03-22) Vakho Akobia: doesn't work
  • (2020-03-12) Jeff Beckley: I have used this extension for years, and I really like it, but it's broken now. I hadn't used it for a couple months and when I went to go view an .md file it turned up blank except for a box. When I refresh I can sometimes very briefly (probably less than a quarter of a second) see the contents of the .md file, but in the end just shows the box. My guess is that a Chrome update broke it?
  • (2020-03-12) Yann Pagabeiuse: Latest update seems to have completely broken it. It doesn't work anymore.
  • (2020-02-29) Eddy Raineri: Not working with Version 80.0.3987.122 (Official Build) (64-bit) on MAC.
  • (2020-02-07) Stevie Kiko: It's good extension for me . I use for read my local .md file everyday until today . I can't open local .md file . I've got error message like this run again and again again. Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'file:///Users/kitisak/Readme/JS/javascript.md?rnd=1581100394312' from origin 'null' has been blocked by CORS policy: Cross origin requests are only supported for protocol schemes: http, data, chrome, chrome-extension, https.
  • (2020-01-10) Craig Williams: I configured the extension to allow file:// URL's but it does not render markdown for local files. Is there more than one place that local files need to be allowed?
  • (2020-01-05) Musa Haidari: It was OK for simple MD syntax, but cannot compile the more complex one easily. The design can be improved too.
  • (2019-09-10) Haibin Qiao: There is something wrong when writing below: | Character | Name | | --- | --- | | \| | pipe |
  • (2019-04-09) Vikram Jadhav: Doesn't work if I open local .md file from my windows 10 pc to chrome
  • (2019-02-25) Andy Davidson: Works on Mac with local files. see "Dusty Frederick" comment to configure extension to work with local files. you need to turn "Allow access to file URLs" on only complaint is my markdown file is displayed with a huge margin on the left. this wastes a lot of screen space. I really like the table of contents on the right
Saludos!!
  • (2019-01-02) Cenny Wenner: As others mention, even with the url-access option on, it does not seem to render local .md files.
  • (2018-12-06) Matthew Bell: Very good Markdown Reader. I've been able to even open local file by entering file:///c:/ in the URL and navigating to the folder where the *.md file sits. I would recommend to anyone needing to open Markdown files.
  • (2018-07-28) José Antonio Pinto: Very good! Run perfectly at Chromium too.
  • (2018-07-20) Jerry Tingley: Nice support for extra Markdown stuff like checkboxes. Default source code rendering looks great. The extension also places a list on the right of the main content with links to all of your headers, very convenient for navigation and for quickly glancing over a file.
  • (2018-05-29) beyondtheboundaries: You need to enable the access to the file urls. After that it works like a charm. Love it!
  • (2018-05-24) Mat Sal: Cumple su función perfectamente. Muy buena extensión y muy útil
  • (2018-04-27) Contas Tiago França: Muito bom. Show de bola!!!!!
  • (2018-04-25) Marko Vujanic: One of the better out there, colapsing works as well. I love it.
  • (2018-01-10) Shane: Worked fine until today. Now, css loads intermittently
  • (2017-12-22) Jeremy Law: Seems to have problems with lists and sub-lists. Works well otherwise.
  • (2017-11-24) Ulysses Wong: This is the best markdown plugin I have used. Accrod to the markdown file, it will create a menu, and it's easy to fix the positon where you want to view.
  • (2017-11-04) Joseph Ellsworth: Just what I wanted. Much better accuracy than some others I tried.
  • (2017-10-28) Reinier Rodríguez González: Great tool, simplifies work, makes it easier.
  • (2017-08-07) Kyle Keating: Does not work for local .md files on a mac, seems like a huge use case to me
  • (2017-07-22) Jeremy Daalder: Built in indexing is super handy, as is live reload. Would be great if it was easier to find docs (e.g. on latex, syntax highlighting etc)
  • (2017-06-28) Jim Auer: Only one I've found that reliably duplicates GitHub markdown interpretation
  • (2017-06-03) Asher Stern: Nice tool. One bug: New lines inside notes are being ignored. For example: >This >is >a >note Will be presented as This is a note
  • (2017-05-01) Aric D: This is a handy extension to view markdown that works reasonably well. For those who are having an issue getting the plugin to work be sure to reference the instructions, specifically step 2: Open plugin center: chrome://extensions/, check "Allow access to file URLs"
