• (2025-04-15) m pe: The text to speech is good but doesn't seem to work for Libby eBooks.I don't see why speach to text is a premium feature when you can get it for free from an open source app like Futo, that's privacy respecting.I couldn't adjust the speed to 50% it was either 40 or 60% which is odd (but I do appreciate slower speeds which are helpful for listening in other languages,slow brain processing etc...) I couldn't customize the list of features I want to easily access them when clicking the extension.Had to reload pages a couple of times when getting an error and eventually it did TTS.Initially the voice I selected didnt save,but selecting it again worked.Also,it works on Linux unlike other TTS that require Windows voices and so far no need to pay for extra voices.

It has absolutely transformed my research process and experience to make it so much easier. No switching between multiple extensions. I love having tools like text to speech, reading ruler, and immersive reader right alongside the highlighter, online sticky notes, OCR, IA, and even the ability to edit a live webpage and then export all of it. And the incredible personal customer service proves that they truly do this from a place of love and service to help others.

My son and I both rely heavily on accessible technology to do our best work and Helperbird has proven to be easy to learn/use and easily applied to a variety of materials. • (2024-03-29) Brittany Wi: This is a complete game changer! I was introduced to this amazing app by a classmate. I have since become a fan and it has made my life so much easier! The immersive reader is my fav because there is so much content review in grad school and this allows me to read assignments quicker! I now have the pro option which allows me to take advantage of other features with the app such as text to speech, dictionary, and even the summary option! It's all about working smarter and not harder! I highly recommend this app! There are soo many great features for different learning styles.

The ruler, overlays, immersive reading, summarizing and simplify wording features are some favourite features to name a few. The cherry on top of such an amazing app is the support and service readily available from the team, including directly from the developer himself! This is the most comprehensive, efficient and user-friendly app I have found to make the digital world accessible to all for both personal and educational use. I cannot recommend this app enough.

Our school uses this add-on to help students with their reading requirements. The Immersive Reader and PDF Reader features are nearly flawless. It can even read Icelandic!

With this app I found tool I never knew could help me and I am continously discovering more, there is a text reader, rules to follow the text on screen as I read, Tons on dyslexia friendly fonts and I have complete control over the styling and colors on the page without having to continously go through dev tools to find the relevant style to change to affect the DOM. This app is the bees knees of accessability and if you have any form of neuro divergence affecting your ability to read text on a screen this app is a definate must!!!

I love the line spacing when I have to read something out loud for a video recording or to assist a student. Robert is super responsive and open to suggestions. Fantastic extension!
