  • (2025-07-22) Speechify works pretty well! I especially love how it cloned my voice—it really feels like I'm listening to myself read. That alone is such a powerful feature. My only gripe is that it occasionally skips or misreads words, which can be a little frustrating. Still, I believe it’ll improve with time. Solid tool overall!

  • (2025-07-19) Just started using this extension it's pretty flexible to use.
  • (2025-07-19) Far too intrusive and annoying. Forces a bunch of speechify advertisements and popups on your screen that you never asked for. I have to constantly turn the extension on and off because my computer is unusable with the speechify bloated garbage always taking up the screen. Meanwhile, they dont have basic quality of life features and speechify is still the dealing with the same countless bugs and glitches that it has always had. If only they focused on improving their software rather than bloating it with more features nobody asked for like the new giant AI summary that appears at the top of websites you use.
  • (2025-07-19) dope
  • (2025-07-18) For one reason, or another, I resisted paying for this service but, after reading just one article, I see why I took the leap with the free trial. This can probably help me out a lot, not just as a student, job seeker, or someone who wants to start my own business, but even with casual reading as well!
  • (2025-07-18) PROS: Great voice quality. Price is a bit steep, but worth it to me for the voice difference between this app and the free alternatives. Really boosts my productivity and retention. CONS: The software is a bit fiddley. And there are times it does not want to run at all on some websites, and there is no help from the developers on this, really. Also, Chrome only, no chance of this being on Firefox.
  • (2025-07-18) Eeasily the funniest and and well designed text to speech apps. I love the fact that I can change the voice on the fly and im not limited to just one boring monotone varient. The Ui is great, really easy and intuitive to use. My only complaint is that there is no shrek voice :(. Other that that this application is a great addition to anyone who uses chrome.
  • (2025-07-18) good one, many voices
  • (2025-07-18) great
  • (2025-07-18) good
  • (2025-07-18) Look no further speechify will carry the load while you cruise through your course, Thanks yall.
  • (2025-07-17) So glad I stumbled across this app. With such a heavy course load, my eyes were getting extremely tired from all the reading and assignment work I have on the go. Thankfully, Speechify has allowed me to take my eyes off the screen by reading the material to me so that I can focus better when creating the hours-long assignments based on those readings. Thank you, Speechify!!
  • (2025-07-17) solid app...wish the premium were more affordable for africans...we all dont earn dollars 😁
  • (2025-07-17) Even the free version is goood enough.
  • (2025-07-17) This is a great app. It helps me so much! It's also extremely versatile! I highly recommend!!
  • (2025-07-17) The Premium one is more versatile and allows efficiency for multi-tasking.
  • (2025-07-17) Love it.It helps me stay focused while reading
  • (2025-07-17) Great tool for teachers and students. I use it daily.
  • (2025-07-17) I dont like the new update I can paulse it when its reading a page on PC. I want controls back.
  • (2025-07-17) Very helpful
  • (2025-07-16) I'm enjoying using Speechify, the concept is great and it has helped me with staying focused while reading. However, I've discovered some traits of the software that bother me. This is the reason for the 3 star instead of 4 or 5. I have noticed the software trying to read bullet points and each time it comes to a bullet point it messes up the first word that comes after it. Sometimes mashing whatever it decided to read aloud the bullet point with the start of that word. That's annoying. Also, I don't read fast, its hard for me to comprehend when I allow the software to speak normally or at a faster pace, therefore, I slow the software down to slightly slower than the 1.0 speed to .85 or .9 but when I do this, the voices have a bit of a reverberation to them, which makes them sound funny to me. That's annoying. Finally, the software doesn't read the punctuations very well. It doesn't pause at commas, or long pause at periods and in certain readings like Bible readings it changes the meaning of the scriptures. This is SUPER ANNOYING! So, its my hope the developers see this review and get to work on these annoying traits. Now in all fairness, I'll continue to use Speechify because it does serve a purpose for me, that is staying on task, getting through my assigned readings and doing so with a varity of voices to choose from, my trick is finding the voices that sound good slowed down and are less funky sounding when played slow, fortunate for me there are some, but Snoop Dogg isn't one of them...LOL!
  • (2025-07-16) It skips dashes and ellipsis, randomly believes the sentence is over when it reaches the end of a line when in fact the sentence continues, and cannot pronounce words that are cut off at the end of a line, but I like it.
