Description from store ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Per Tab Zoom is the only extension that lets you customize the [Ctrl]+[Mouse Wheel] shortcut for zoom control. This feature is not possible with regular Chrome extensions. Per Tab Zoom IS NOT A REGULAR EXTENSION. Per Tab Zoom is brought to you by the same developers of "AutoControl". Per Tab Zoom currently works on Windows operating systems only. If you are still interested, read on to learn why Per Tab Zoom is different. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Per Tab Zoom is a native extension ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Native extensions are a special kind of extensions that can customize Chrome's native shortcuts in addition to a number of other benefits. Per Tab Zoom, being a native extension, can offer the unique feature of customizing Chrome's native shortcuts for zooming in and out. This functionality is not possible on regular extensions. In order to achieve this, native extensions require the installation of a native component, which is a program that cooperates with the web component. This gives the extension its unique features. You'll be prompted to install the Native Component program right after installing the extension. Learn more about the Native Component and its benefits here: http://autocontrol.app/native-component ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ FEATURE LIST ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ You can customize the following shortcuts: • [Ctrl] + [Mouse Wheel] • [Ctrl] + [+/-] • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Mouse Wheel] • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [+/-] For each shortcut, you can choose one of 4 actions: • Per tab zoom: The zoom affects that tab only. • Per domain zoom: The zoom affects all pages in the same domain. • Default action: Perform the shortcut's native action. • No action: Disables the shortcut. Disabling a shortcut is useful if you have the habit of triggering a zoom action by accident. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS  ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Being a native extension demands additional development effort to support each operating system. For this reason, Per Tab Zoom is initially supported on: • Windows XP * • Windows Vista * • Windows 7 • Windows 8 • Windows 10 *: Not supported by the Chrome Web Store. You must install from: http://autocontrol.app/manual-install ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬  PERMISSIONS  ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Per tab Zoom needs the permission "Communicate with cooperating native applications". This allows it to interact with the Native Component program that you install at the beginning. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬  DONATIONS  ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Per tab Zoom is brought to you by the developers of "AutoControl". It's free of charge to everyone for their own use and benefit. We, the developers, do not obtain economic reward out of it other than the kind donations of our users. We'll gladly accept your financial support at: http://autocontrol.app/donations Please help us keep the project alive. The AutoControl team thanks you.

  • (2023-06-01) Casey Schumacher: Certain sites will open to a strange zoom percentage like 67%.. and can't find a way to revert it back to a normal 100%.
  • (2022-11-15) CKH Joseph: It works like the description, fixing a problem which shouldn't even exist.
  • (2022-07-17) A -: Fixes Chrome bug #390775, which the developers have refused to fix.

  • (2022-05-15) Hussain Zaidi: Literally the only extension that zooms individual tabsm without affecting all others. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you developers :)
  • (2022-04-10) Jathan Clark: Just installed and this seems like a perfect fix that the Chrome developers haven't addressed yet. Well done!
  • (2022-03-23) Libor Moravek: Delivers exactly what it says it will. Little sketchy installing an .exe program, but it does what I needed and found no issues with the .exe. Having multiple monitors with different sizes needs this extension. Edit: Doesn't work after turning off the PC.
  • (2022-02-03) moonshine bot: Highly suspicious extension that asks to install some obscure .exe - it's not at all clear why this would be necessary, neither is there an open source version of the program available that allows review of what the extension is expected to do. Don't trust this extension! Also, the extension documentation guides you how to work around Windows security features to install the .exe.
  • (2021-12-28) si bouras: thanks for this amazing extension, just needs a little customization, for example inrement by 5% would be very useful, or maybe allow us to set predifined steps.
  • (2021-10-19) Ali Shamsi: I love it. I have every time problem with zoom in browser Domain and now resolved
  • (2021-09-08) Brian Miller: This fixed the recent Google Chat and Mail zooming link. The most recent Google Chat app update for some reason tied the zoom level of Chat to the GMail page. Zooming one also zoomed the other. I installed the Per Tab Zoom extension and this fixed the problem. Thank you!
  • (2021-08-13) Ragnar Hartmann: Great idea, but it stops working every time I restart my computer.
  • (2021-07-15) Eric Moore: As it mentions, it is Windows-only and requires separate installation, but it works perfectly as advertised (at least on the sites I've tried it with so far). I'm a fan.
  • (2021-06-02) Bram Cramer: NOTE: Used this with the new Edge browser, which works fine! One complaint that I (increasingly) have after using the plugin for about an hour: when navigating pages that I have zoom in or out on, the zoom level jumps up and down. For example, if I set the zoom to 70%, then back to 100% and then click on a link, the page resets (looks like after navigation completes) to 70%. I tried using the 'reset to 100%' and manually setting to 100%, both show the same behaviour.
  • (2021-05-26) Jeffrey Wilens: Works fine on most domains, unfortunately does not work even in per tab mode with respect to domain actionstep.com, a project management platform. You can open multiple tabs. One tab might be a list of projects and the other a calendar of appointments. You can magnify the latter to 125% but that also changes the other tab. Yes, I tried both ctrl-+ and ctrl scroll with same result.
  • (2021-04-30) Miguel Rodríguez: I have found the problem that it confuses the ALT GR key with CTRL, so now I cannot use the character that is in ALT GR in the same key as the +, in my case it is ] when I am in Chrome.
  • (2021-04-07) Brad Morgan: Website blocked: www.autocontrol.app Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this website because it may contain malware activity. We strongly recommend you do not continue.
  • (2021-03-10) Nisse Lommerde: No support for anything other than Windows.
  • (2021-03-02) Kai Ell Huizenga: simple and easy! love that
  • (2020-10-26) Thomas Lau: 太實用了!
  • (2020-08-12) Brady Mattsson: Works perfectly for per-tab zooming with simple and customizable keyboard and mouse shortcuts. Thanks for creating this very useful extension.
  • (2020-04-15) Nate Pucek: Does what it says it does, and I haven't run into any bugs yet.
  • (2020-04-08) Robert Gasparotto (FarscapeOne): Does what it says on the tin :) Wanting something like this for ages. I was also a bit uncertain about the native app but happy enough now since some functionality is not part of Chrome
  • (2020-03-10) Bree Vwhyman: i just wondered WHY you would release an extension that requires an extra program to be downloaded and installed into the computer operating system? does that not defete the purpose of extensions?....they should just be browser specific. That said, the extension is indeed working........but it's not something that appealed to me requiring an extra program to be natively installed to the computer OS. thx
  • (2020-02-04) Leo Dantrimont: Does what it should do and explains everything you might want to know.
  • (2020-01-17) Dániel Zölei-Szénási: I like it, does exactly what it is intended for.
  • (2020-01-07) David Smith: I've been wishing I could do this for literally years and finally buckled down to search how and this did it! Ha ha!!! Love it.
  • (2019-12-20) Jonathan Reagan: Simple, easy to use, does exactly what it is supposed to. Being able to Ctrl + Scroll in to zoom in on a single tab is invaluable.
  • (2019-11-19) Bazil Caygill: Works exactly as stated and gets round a "feature" that the chrome team refuse to address. Well done.
  • (2019-11-04) D. V.: It was exactly what I wanted, didn't mind intalling a native component, but does not work on Linux which you can find out by reading the description page but only if you click "Read more". I'll add a star when the restriction appears first on the description I'd add more starts when it works on Linux.
  • (2019-10-10) Rob Neu: I have a mouse with momentum scrolling (Logitech G502) which is awesome most of the time. It causes problems when I am scroll to the top of the page, for example, and so the page stops moving but the mouse wheel is still spinning. If I then hit CTRL (to switch tabs for example), the page gets zoomed in or out a ton. This app allows me to turn off "CTRL + Mouse Wheel" scrolling entirely. It's not perfect but it works better than any other solution I've found. Sometimes, when scrolling quickly and then hitting CTRL (to switch tabs for example) it will still zoom in or out about 10%, but that's significantly better than the 500% or 10% I was getting before, and it happens much less frequently. Well done.
  • (2019-09-28) Akarsh Rastogi: Works just as intended, great work!
  • (2019-09-26) Jørn Schanche: supposedly only works on windows. requires installation of separate exe file. aviod at all cost.

  • (2022-03-09, v:2022.2.14) Terry Honn: Can't change from per domain zoom for local server
My home automation dashboard is served from a local server (192.168.1.200) and I have a web-based log viewer also being served from that server on a different port. This extension doesn't seem to be able to give me the per tab zoom ability I thought it would. Is this a known issue or something else?

One Browser is Opened with Multiple TABs, I moved One TAB as "New Browser". I tried to Zoom In/Out on this Moved TAB then this cause the "WHOLE OPENED CHROME BROWSERS & TABS" to Zoom In/Out simultaneously. I tried to Clicking on New Page in the Moved TAB, but it didn't solve the problem. I even tried "Selecting" certain section of the Page in Moved TAB to make your software to recognize that the Working Cursor is in this Moved TAB but this didn't fix the problem either. Would be great if you please diagnose this issue. Thanks a lot for the Great App! I love your ZoomTAB, THis is Great Tool!~ I can't thank you enough!~ ^0^

  • (2020-08-13, v:2020.6.17) Les Matheson: Is this open source?
Because of the native access needed by the extension, I'm uncomfortable with trying it unless the source code is publicly available. Is it in github or similar?
  • (2020-06-25, v:2020.6.17) Tim Sneller: Minor issue with "Pin All Tabs" extension
I have been using "Pin All Tabs" for quite a while, as I typically have 15 windows open, and I like the ability to quickly PIN/UNPIN all of the tabs. When I installed "Per Tab Zoom" the shortcut for "Pin All Tabs" disappeared. I did a bit of fiddling around, and I got it back, but now I cannot see the "Tab Per Zoom" shortcut - They appear to both be insisting on being the first icon to the right of the URL bar. I really like the ability to resize just ONE tab, but I also like to PIN all of the tabs out of the way, and that HAS to have a visible icon. I guess one option would be for you to include an option in your extension to "Pin All Tabs" - That way I can un-install that extension and just use yours.
  • (2020-05-30, v:2020.3.18) Robert Gaines: Not supported in Ubuntu Linux.
Please native component for Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an open source, free operating system. Conversion shouldn't be difficult.
  • (2020-01-17, v:2020.1.6) Dániel Zölei-Szénási: Ctrl and + did not work for some time
Hi, I previously opened an issue and an issue board from gitlab.com in two separate Chrome windows; one was a regular Chrome Tab, the other was opened from a shortcut with "Open as window" setting. I used 80% magnification for them before the installation of Per Tab Zoom. Right after installing Per Tab Zoom, I set up - Ctrl and Mouse Wheel for Per tab zoom - Ctrl and Shift and Mouse Wheel for Per domain zoom - Ctrl and +/- for Per tab zoom - Ctrl and Shift and +/- for Per domain zoom Then, - when I used Ctrl and +/-, magnification changed in both windows synchronously, - when I used Ctrl and Mouse Wheel, the magnification changed in the two windows independently, but I set the level of magnification back to 80% (the original level of magnification before the installation of Per Tab Zoom) - when I used Ctrl and +/- again, magnification changed in both windows synchronously, - then I closed all Chrome windows, opened them again, but Ctrl and +/- changed magnification in both windows synchronously - then I set the level of magnification with Ctrl + Mouse Wheel to 90% in one of the windows, and then Ctrl and +/- worked as intended, i. e. the two Gitlab pages could be magnified independently from each other. I am not sure whether Per Tab Zoom interferred with some initial settings or the default shortcut of Chrome. However, now it works well and for me it is one of the most useful tools I ever saw in Google Chrome. Best wishes, Dániel
