Tab Preview Board is a Chrome extension to switch tab. You can switch tabs with seeing their previews.
The tabs will be shown in 3 columns in the popup. If you click the last tab with "+", the new tab will be opened.

- (2024-07-18) Bree Vwhyman: This extension does not work..... it has not been tested...........tab images show the wrong tab numbers.....and also they overlay with NEW but wRONG tab info above the tab image...............conflicted.......... i doubt its been tested . Vivavldi.........tried on..............over 100 million users....... The extension is a good idea......so i hope it can be fixed . Please remove the exntension If fixed the designer should then do proper testing. Thanks.df

Only extension of this kind that has worked at all. - super fast (scary fast) - LOADS IMAGES** - shows other windows as well! just not other profiles but that is to be expected - shows tab names and icons **only loads images that are loaded, so if you have tabs unloaded to save power etc it will need to be loaded to show the IMAGE. still shows the tab names. by loaded I mean it does not have that gray dotted circle around the website icon on regular chrome tabs.

- (2020-09-17) Laura Timmel: tl;dr version: It's a bit buggy. Sometimes the wrong thumbnail loads, sometimes no thumbnail loads, and in any case, they load very slowly. I downloaded this because I had multiple color palettes open, one in each tab, and wanted to compare them. After I added the extension, I refreshed all of the tabs (using a refresh all tabs extension, so without opening the tabs individually) and tried to view the tab thumbnails. For some reason, however, three of the tabs loaded the same thumbnail, even though when I opened the tabs they were different. (When I refreshed those pages manually, their thumbnails did eventually update.) Two tabs' thumbnails loaded correctly. And the rest didn't load at all until I actually opened each tab one by one. For most people, this extension would probably do just fine. However, if, like me, you open multiple links in new tabs (without switching focus to each new tab individually) and want to visually compare their contents, you'll probably need to look elsewhere.
