• (2024-10-10) M K: Since Oct 10th, 2024, this extension has been subject to malfunctioning (incapable of getting rid of the ads at the beginning of the video, etc) and cybersecurity issues (unwanted pop ups, hijacked links that were embedded in the extension settings, etc), like ones that others pointed out. This is still the one and only extension that can get rid of most of the ads and give mouse gestures for volume, etc. Hope the developers overcome this attack.
• (2024-10-01) OMGitsDSypl: This plugin is a fall from grace. It was one of my must-have plugins and I had it since 2014. After a while, the update page or the settings page had skeezy vibes asking me to turn off my ad blocker, and the worst offender that everyone is talking about is that very regularly you will get a popup telling you to update your chrome browser. I'm not going to engage with it because it's very likely malware if it's this persistent and wrong, but I also want to emphasize how persistent it is. At least once an hour or so, you'll get a popup that is triggered by closing a tab. Getting this multiple times a day. Enhancer For Youtube is a great alternative. Farewell to one of the formerly best extensions.

• (2024-09-20) Laurel Sporter: It works well, but options being in a remote website's teeny tiny iframe is a pretty big annoyance, for which there is no good reason. Edit: now it regularly pops up an update dialog, when there's nothing to update, that's not its place, and AI reminders, whatever waste of Watt-hours those are, can't be disabled.
• (2024-09-19) Anonymous A.: September 2024 Update: Getting constant spam pop-ups from this extension at the rate that it has, even when I'm not on Youtube, has become just flatly unacceptable. Changed rating to 1/5. August 2024 Update: This extension is auto-expanding all YouTube videos, even when that setting is Off. It's also showing annoying pop-ups that are difficult to turn off (they keep turning back on). Very annoying. Still 2/5. January 3, 2024 Update: Snapshot feature isn't working. Day/night mode is great! And so is the "Remove Annotations" feature. But this extension is currently advertising features that don't work, which is really frustrating. 2/5. July 2023 Update: "Expand" feature is currently broken and doesn't expand video to fill entire tab. Once this is fixed this extension will be 5/5. Until then, it's 2/5.

Однако последнее время ругается не давая менять настройки а значит если почищу кеш или заново браузер поставлю все настройки потеряю. Причем он я не знаю что ему нужно, ибо ругается что с включенным блокировщиком рекламы, что с выключенным. Поэтому одну звезду снимаю.

I despise YouTube with a passion cover however unfortunately it is the only platform that most of the great web content is on. Everything worked until 1 month ago and I've been using it for years since at least 2018.

• (2024-04-21) Rob Free: Edit: After posting a negative review it stopped working altogether, if anyone had doubts about the tracking. Used it for years, but it breaks default settings and fails to save the manual ones. After updates the options no longer display and "have been moved to another location" that is an external website. That website is blocked. Even after "unblocking" it, it still shows blocked, so settings are unavailable. Definitely not a way to manage an EXTENSION - this is supposed to be an extension and not a website. This DANGEROUS and INVASIVE behaviour that means what is supposed to be an extension is TRACKING YOUR OTHER ACTIVITIES and is unacceptable.
