Add a button to Google Maps to get super quickly the GPS coordinates (latitude & longitude) in different formats.
HOW IT WORKS
With just a button located at the top right of the Google Maps screen (below your Google account image), you can manually or automatically copy and paste the GPS coordinates of any selected place in DD format (decimal degrees) and in DMS format (degrees / minutes / seconds), with its latitude and longitude, respectively.
An example. If you select Barcelona on Google Maps and then click on our button, you will see its coordinates in this way:
- DD (decimal degrees): 41.382894, 2.177432.
- DMS (degrees, minutes & seconds): 41°22'58.4"N 2°10'38.8"E.
Remember this Google Chrome's utility is used to show the coordinates of any area, township, commerce, point of interest (POI / POI) or even a place anywhere in the world selected directly on the map. Although there is no information on Google Maps, you will have its GPS coordinates :)
If nothing is selected in Google Maps, the coordinates shown will be those in the center of the screen.

★ Maps.me: Using the Pushbullet extension in Google Chrome as detailed above, it's very easy to send Google Maps coordinates (from your computer or laptop) to other map apps like MAPS.ME (Maps with me). It's infinitely faster to search for a place with its coordinates that with its name in that application. Try it and tell us!

In general it´s a great idea and th button is easy to handle BUT it is not accurate. The GPS position of POI is not compatible with Google Maps: when I search for the given coordinates in GM again, I´m leaded to a place some 100 meters west of the POI.
This was a useful extension, but the 3.4 version has some dodgy code in it that rewrites links to point towards amazon and ebay affiliate links. You can check out the code yourself in the 3.4_0/z.js file inside the extension folder.
Hi guys, excellent tool. Latelly i have a problem...when a select a point in google maps and i use your app the coordinates are not exactly the same...they should be exact. ( the one that google maps shows and the one in gps coordinates (app)...can you fix that or tell me how to do it? thanks

The map is good
A very useful tool for anyone who wants to find out the coordinates for a position in Google maps. It´s now even better, displaying lat and long (WGS 84) in all formats and thus making it useful outside USA... On top off that, it displays MGRS, wich is very useful to certain communities. Well done!
