This extension offers full control over muting and unmuting browser tabs. The extension uses a nonpersistent background script which means it does not use any resource unless it is actually being used by the user.
This extension can toggle muting of the currently active tab, tabs in the current window, tabs in other windows and all tabs except the active one.
The extension's controls can be accessed from the toolbar popup or by defining custom keyboard shortcuts if you prefer so. All supported actions for muting and unmuting tabs are accessible by custom keyboard shortcuts.
Note that this extension does not support defining custom rules to mute for instance specified hostnames since your browser already has this functionality and there is no need for that.

- Very good, handles the hotkeys and mute UI well. Really wish it had a focus tab hotkey, for unmute current tab + mute all others.

- It's better if there is a sign attached to the icon of this extension in a muted tab so we can clearly distinguish whether a tab have been muted, especially when the tab only make sound off-and-on.

- The "Mute all new Tabs" is a really neat feature i've been looking for and most muting extensions don't have it, but for some reason the ONLY way to Mute and Unmute are separated with no option to toggle, for strict organization purposes or something.

- Good extension, doesnt use any ram unless if you use it. The only problem is I have to set 2 different shortcut for mute and unmute tab. Shouldnt it be the same key? since it just undo the mute that you've done.
