Bis zu 95% Speicher sparen und Tab-Chaos reduzieren

OneTab
Description from store

Poor Update. Do the develop team get that? You got even more worse rating than ever. Will that get you higher salary?

I used the extension for a 10+ years. Collected a thousands of links. Today, 21.02.2026, extension was updated and all my bookmarks is totally wiped UPD.: Used this advice from developers: Open chrome://extensions -> Developer mode -> In OneTab properties click on Service Worker -> DevTools -> Console -> write "chrome.runtime.reload();" and hit Enter -> after several minutes all bookmarks was restored. Changed score from 1 to 5, but, my God, how you made me nervous

Used to like this a lot , but the NEW DESIGN is WORSE !!!! Would have been ok at least to give the option to use the old version at least, but i can't find such setting in Options. I will have to find a new extension now.. :(

Great Update, loving the new functions and ability to swap Groups around and make Folders. But is there a way to go back to the old system on the Right Click > All Groups and being able to access all the groups made scrolling down. The update only allows me to scroll to recent Groups and not in the old style where ALL the groups were listed in order of how I've placed them. It would be great if there was a setting toggle to swap back to that old format in the Right Click in Website for saving to much older groups. Having it be in the format of most Recent makes searching for specific Groups a pain when placing tabs when it's a much older Group that's not even available on the Recent Group list anymore

My favorite extension

Realizing my initial review was Dec 9, 2014 & still 5 stars!! Love the latest update, however I completely understand everyone's frustration with the changes. Not sure that Google even has a way of supporting/sending out an "Upcoming Changes" for extensions/apps. That said, I agree there's is a learnign curve to the new system, but thankfully everything appears to A) be intact & B) Much easier to organize with far more options than were previously available. Thank you for the effort that you've put into maintaining & Updating this!

I would have given them a zero if it was an option. They pushed out an update and all my saved tabs are gone! I tried their stupid fix and it doesn't work. Whoever allowed for this release should be let go. I am going to find and replace this extension with an alternative.

Please please please turn it back, it can't even function with my device anymore I had to open console and force it to spit my tabs out before it would do more than pop up an empty grey loading box The new design is crowded and overengineered, please please please make it usable I can barely see what I'm doing Attempting to scroll with a touchscreen throws around links and files randomly it can't even tell me how many total tabs it has saved you took the equivalent of a service dog and switched it for a puppy that's not even housetrained

Update: I followed the steps below (after >>), as per a reply to another review, and it seems to have worked. It really would have been great to either have some advanced notice that this was going to happen, or a notification after the update about potential issues and how to counter them (hinting for next time). Thank you to the developers for providing these steps! Original review: After the recent update, thousands of tabs - more than 16,000!!!!!! from over ten years of research and advocacy - are gone. This is unbelievably upsetting. (I would leave zero stars if given the option, at this point.) >> Chrome can abort the migration from v1 to v2 if there are huge numbers of tabs stored and it takes several minutes. To fix this: 1. Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome 2. Enable developer mode in the top right of the screen 3. For the OneTab entry on that page, where it says "Inspect views", click the "Service worker" link 4. Go to the Console tab in the window that appears 5. Type the following and press enter: chrome.runtime.reload(); Then wait a few minutes for the tabs to migrate.

After the automatic update to the new version i lost all my tabs which were over 100000! I have saved them a couple months ago but i still lost many new tabs, links. The bad thing is that they are not grouped now. This is the second time this happened, the first one was many years ago after a chrome update or crash, i don't know anymore. I tried the "chrome.runtime.reload();" thing and it did not work for now. Not cool, there were very important links! You guys need to keep that in mind. My tip to users: make a back up once a week.

The extension is very useful and works perfectly. I've been using it for over three years. It was recently updated to v2, and I noticed that only the last saved tabs were showing. I contacted the team via their contact form, and they replied almost immediately. They explained that there was a bug where Chrome would pause the migration process from OneTab v1 to v2 if it took too long, and they provided a solution that fixed it.

Automatically migrated several tens of thousands of tabs with no issue, and the new update and features looks great... however, i'd personally really like an option to swap/use the old interface at least for now. The search bar especially is an incredible addition though. I'm not currently ready to export/purge my onetab (usually have to around 40k tabs because it starts getting weird), but these existing ones aren't organized either. Semi-related note, please make sure onetab's adding, list, and export work up to 200k at least (with duplicate detection turned off, obviously ;p). I've also noticed the previous version would indefinitely memory leak up to 1.2-2gb when adding tabs/viewing list, easily resolved by disabling and reenabling the extension. I will say so far (v2.8) it's sitting around 300mb so no issue there; probably because of the pagination. Edit: Actually! It's unloading properly when the list is closed, so as far as I'm concerned any memory issues are completely resolved in v2.8 Edit: One feature that would be HUGE would be the ability to toggle regex support for strings in the search bar.

New update looks incredible

OneTab is my favorite Chrome extension, and the "Secret Weapon" to stay organized in my work & home life. I lost count how many people I've converted to OneTab, and even created a tutorial to share with new hires at work. Don't hesitate-- install the extension and start using OneTab ASAP!
Adrien Massiet
it just updated by itself, lost all my saved pages, it's empty...
James Cambridge
I LOVE OneTab, it's saved my life (and my memory). I can't wait for an iCloud or Chrome Backup and Sync though - when my computer was wiped I lost my OneTab backup. Happy to pay for this feature! Thanks so much and keep doing what you're doing
Taufik Naaim
I've lost count how many years I have been using OneTab. Now with the latest update, I love it even more. Only one thing I hope they can implement next. It is to run the Onetab page on the side panel. Yes the pinned page is great. But if it can be on side panel would be explosive!

I had a problem: kept 50+ tabs open because I was afraid of losing important links. Tried OneTab and similar - they just save as lists, but then you can't find anything in those lists. TabRover solved it differently: boards + columns structure + built-in search by titles and URLs. Now I confidently close tabs, save everything to proper groups via Inbox (one click on extension icon), and when needed - instantly find via search or visually on board. Computer RAM says thank you 😄 Plus everything works offline, so even without internet you have access to links.

when will the backup and sync feature be available?

so I don't really write a lot of reviews, on chrome store extensions and that's mainly because I just forget to or it sucks so much that I delete it within 5 seconds because it doesn't work but I've been using this one tab ext for over 5 months, and I'm sorry that I, I'm giving a review. So late. but this deserves five stars, I'd love to know, if you plan on doing any future updates, if you have a road map of what you intend to do it would be something I'd love to help with, because this it's just such a great ext so thank you very much enjoy the 5 star riding because you deserve it.

Add a icon that means 'u can drag to change the order' to the left of each tab. I didnt know I can do it for a long time

Very Good

This extension is amazing. If I'm low on RAM, I can collapse any or all or my browser windows into a single tab, and restore them later, or only the ones I want to keep active. More importantly, I use this to transfer between computers. I can quickly export my entire set of windows+tabs into a text file. This was always the biggest reason I hated switching computers. Now it's painless. I don't need OneTab very often, but every time I do need it, I'm supremely grateful to have it. Just had it solve a problem today and I was so thankful that I feel the need to share.

How to get the updated UI version 2.x in firefox and safari ?
Cheung Leong Tung
The old design just work. In the new design some default behaviour are changed, and lots of options, which is clearly good intention, but I cannot find where to restore old behavior: 1. when I click the icon, I want to save all tabs directly, without second cilck. 2. in the list view of all the tabs, I want the old compact view, the new design has too much spacing I'm mainly using firefox, and I'm glad that it is as the orignal design. If there is no way to restore the old design, I would either tolerant or DIY. Really like the old design.

This has been a favourite App for many years. Unfortunately, it appears to have stopped working when used in Arc Browser (on Mac)... - at least for me.

I enjoyed it before it was rewritten. Right now I LOVE IT! Cannot wait for the new sync feature :)
Walton V.
Amazing. One plus would be copying and editing the specific exportation code of a group of stored tabs, so the user could throw them at an AI and organize them.
Treeology Inc.
Hands down one of the best extentions EVER! Bravo, guys, well done. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work. I am grateful.

This extension is great! It saves me lots of time and frustration.
Doug Robinson
I really don't like the new design. What I liked before was that I could save ALL the open tabs to OneTab. ALL of them. Now it seems to only want to save the tabs that haven't already been saved--SOMEWHERE in all the those saved sessions... Let's see... which one was it? NO. I want to save ALL the tabs, not some of them. I want to be able to get all the pages open that I need to work on for a project, save them and then if I need to start another session some other time, I can easily open ALL of them just like they were before. But now, with this new design, I would have to go looking for those already saved tabs... Grrrrr!

I love this extension.

it was perfect and then they ruined it with the design layout changes. they tried to address user feedback but i didnt want any changes. and now it is buggy and different. I can't go back to the old design :(
Dan Strokirk
Even better with the latest updates - an ESSENTIAL plugin for a tab hoarder!
Kimmist
a must have gem

Thank you for returning the old UI and layout, its one-click and save everything AGAIN. Thank you for hearing to public sentiment and re-applying that. Actually, people get accustomed to things and don't prefer changes or extra customizations, Many like me only wanted to save everything in one-click without any hassles which has been returned. thanks again.

The new improvements have given this old standby a new life. Awesome. Among my most all-time valuable extensions.

The new version (2.4) gives much more control of the Tabs and how they are saved and how you can organize them after they are saved. Also appreciate the Notes option for each Tab group. Might be nice to have brief note for each URL but that would be gilding the lily. This is a fantastic improvement. All the things I kept looking for ways to do in the prior version that weren't there then, are there now! Great job, folks!
David van Holst
Perfect!!!
Google User
I echo the other negative and critical comments. This new version sucks. I can't open up a single saved tab, the new version opens up all the tabs that saved previously. I have found 1.86 and using it instead and I found a way to prevent it from being updated. The developer ruined the extension and while they are trying to "improve" the latest version, just scrap it and give everyone version 1.86 back. That's an easy fix.
Sanzaru Kingdom
I used to love this extension, but it's recent change is obnoxious. I liked the ability to condense down a list of tabs and be able to send the whole list as a link to others but that not longer seems possible. It's still worth getting but I miss that aspect and thus I'm finally rating what I would have considered a 5 star app down to a 2 star.
Max Fenton
This was great and then they ruined the interface. Nothing is simple anymore. Nothing makes sense. Would 100% switch to any other tool that does what this used to do simply.
Reed Elenz
Favorite Extension! *Note: When will the Backup and Sync function finally be available? Seems like we've been waiting a while now. Any updates on the progress? Thanks!

"We also have pagination so you won't see everything all at once, which speeds things up." Where is it? When I save 20 tabs, all those tabs are visible. There is no limit to make only 5 links visible or anything like that.
