No More Duplicates
Avoid downloads of files you already have!
Sometimes you might forget that you have already downloaded certain files which creates duplicates in your hard drive. This small and lightweight extension helps you to avoid these duplicate downloads and can even save you some bandwidth.
When initiating a download the extension will check if the file already exists. If it does exist, you will be provided with a few options whether you want to download it anyway or open the already existing file.

Brilliant extension that stops me from downloading the same pdf twice. Chrome says it is no longer approved and suggests some absolutely different alternatives? Only reason to use Chrome is the wide range of extensions!

If for some reason you delete a file from your downloads folder, this extension won't take that into account and will still say "this file has already been downloaded", even though it hasn't.

it did recognize when i already had that file downloaded but it didnt stop it from downloading again. so essentially useless

Installed and runs perfectly. I have no idea why others are having issues. Windows 11, Chrome Version 104.0.5112.79 (Official Build) (64-bit)

重宝していましたがブラウザが頻繁にフリーズ、クラッシュします。無効にすると収まります 干渉し他の拡張機能が使えなくなる事もしばしば 不具合が多いので残念

its fulfilling the purpose from the extension, but can anybody show me how to detect if the same files have been downloaded but downloaded from the different web/source without check them one by one?

Love the app, notifies you like it says however I don't know if when it does notify you it still downloads the file in the background? Chrome in the task bar still acts as if it's downloading the file when this app should be blocking it.

oh. you deleted my review. thanks for that. this extension -sometimes- works. sometimes it doesn't. it could use extra options, like "have you saved this filename before". also it would be useful to be able to manually point it to folders so it can build a database, at the moment it appears to only monitor downloads while it's installed and active.

It works great so far. "Have I downloaded it before" doesn't work for me, however this extension works.

Now if only there was a way around that "Allow No More Duplicates to open filename" prompt. You have to hit Open and then OK in another dialog to get that PDF duplicate to open.

Prevents Downloads you CLICK, but does not prevent duplicate Downloads that Happen automatically. Example, waiting for an ad to play or a timer to finish and then the download starts on it's own after a while. It will still download duplicates :( if you can figure this out you will have the best no Dupe mod on the market 100%

This is the BEST extension because it will pause your download to tell you it's a duplicate. The message will give you options to open the existing file, cancel the current download, or download it anyway. It's awesome, it saves me from my dup-download issues everyday!

Could there be functionality added to automatically open the original file? Without the need for click every time, possibly a function which could be turned on or off based on preference
