User-Agent Switcher for Chrome
Spoofs & Mimics User-Agent strings.
Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

2 thumbs up.
This is a really interesting extension but its pretty cool
Working well for some websites
it was working great up until yesterday. dont know what happened.
Unfortunately it doesn't change "sec-ch-ua" request header which explicitly tells web pages what real user agent is used.
Super out of date, was once a great tool, is now defunct
Cannot select OS you want to spoof, only the browser type. Fly-out arrows non-functional. Worthless.
doesn't let me change OS
Spoofer works ok however import json doesn't load the UA list
My browser is v2 but this does not work for the navigator object property in JavaScript.
Works for me .
Doesn't work at all
Out of date !!! Do not download !!!
Can't lie about operating system.
Not useful if you want to select a specific user-agent, e.g. for testing site appearance for bots etc.
work, but somtimes have bugs
don't work
Did not work on chrome?? how to make changes on Default chrome value?
Would give 5 star if it supported spoofing "sec-ch-ua" header also!
Didn't work for me. Website was the same just zoomed out.
Work for me
good
Simply does not work
Doesn't work. When I click on it, it pops up a very tiny box. That's all. Useless.
Used to work a few years ago, now it no longer does. Sad!
Not very useful in 2024 as it has been neglected for the most part. Better alternatives out there with more options although this does work the best with the limited options available.
it does not work
So far so good
Worked great the last time I used it. Apparently Chrome changed something [purposely?] to break this extension. I hope the developers eventually pop-in and maybe fix it for those of us that need an extension like this..
Was a great Extension till it stopped working, Now hwen I press the menu button to change settings it only shows a white box with no letters or options. it is completely broken and unfunctional.
didn't work for me at all. couldn't enter custom user-agent string, at least what i entered never showed up in any list ... json was created and i exported that into a file and then imported it: still nada. whatismybrowser showed no change from default ... installed on chrome 109 ...
As of Chrome 125.0.6422 and Edge 125.0.2535 - this extension is broken, unfortunately.
I develop web-based data management solutions, and I use the user agent as my debugging "back door", appending a a keyword to the end of the default user-agent that my code knows to look for. This extension makes that easy. ONE CAVEAT: The Permanent Spoof List isn't what it sounds like! It's actually a black list, disabling to extension for any entered domain, and it's not easy to undo. Author! Are you listening? You need to fix this!
It is really doesn't work, it is still showing my real browser and real system: https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ YOUR WEB BROWSER LOOKS LIKE: Chrome 124 on Windows 10 But it's announcing that it is: Firefox 120 on Linux
我下载使用这插件之后进入一些网页。出现请取消阻止 challenges.cloudflare.com 后继续,删除这个插件也没有。有没有谁知道如何处理这种情况的朋友。
Misleading. The actual result from https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ is not as shown in the previews. WhatIsMyBrowser.com can easily see through the trickery.
Huh .. can select default for Chrome, but how about other platform .. I would agree useless.
yes it works thank you very much you save 3 hours of my life
Useless. Does not contain a complete selection of user-agents, and does not permit you to input your own.
i'm only using this for my chromebook because of roblox's stupid update on the website making it impossible to use because they dont accomodate for fixing chromebook bugs despite letting it run on it. switching it to Opera makes it work fine, just how i need it to. However, there is an issue, even when i go back to "default" or turn the addon off. It messes up websites with touchscreen, for example, I like to draw on Aggie.io, which is a website you can draw on and draw with other people. This addon breaks touch screen, making it so i cannot zoom in or draw. I have to completely uninstall just so i can use most websites again. So, I will be using this for roblox, but i will have to uninstall and reinstall it a lot for some reason. Oh well. at least it works for the one thing i needed it to work for

It Works
i just use this for YouTube because windows phones get no ads. this works pretty good but the only use case i use it for is blocking youtube ads
One of the most limited and not-user-friendly extensions out there for UA switching, would not recommend
Doesn't provide even remotely recent UA strings, doesn't let you add them without downloading the XML directly from third party sites.
Not work
I'm still giving this 5/5 stars even though it could use some way of updating the preinstalled UA strings to newest versions, but honestly, finding those strings are just a search away. Setting UA to "Chrome" clears the UA string, which on other Chromium based browsers is a bit confusing, but once you get used to it, it's no problem at all. Being able to add your own UA strings is great, you can test all the versions you want problem free - once you know how to edit them.
Doesn't allow to cahange os (to emulate Windows) Also doesn't allow to input custom string
