• (2025-09-01) This used to be a pretty good product. However, it no longer does snapshots. That is the main reason I used it, so if something happened, I could go back to the last set of good tabs. It not only doesn't do that anymore, if you go to the help section, it is listed in the known problems. The instructions for trying to fix it are difficult to follow, even for this former Software/Firmware (embedder) Engineer. They want you to use the debugging console to fix THEIR app. If you want support, they need you to send them a bunch of things that would be almost impossible for anyone but a software engineer to obtain. There is nowhere to just contact support without providing all these things they want. They are basically asking you to do all the diagnostics, save reports, and a bunch of other stuff. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN FIXED? I am switching to Tab Session Manager.

• (2025-08-13) Saves your RAM It DESPERATELY needs an undo button however, I lost a big tab collection because I was trying to select a bunch of tabs, and accidentally selected "file" as well, which, instead of deleting the 17 tabs I wanted to get rid of, proceeded to delete all several hundred saved tabs.
• (2025-08-13) It works for bringing up curated sessions, which I appreciate, but the folder management system is terrible. Every time I want to add a new link to a collection is automatically adds it to a new folder, and then I have to go and "unify folders". Also links cannot be moved between existing folders. It is a terrible design with the limited movement. Either more movement abilities need to be added, or the whole folder structure should be done away with. Not sure what the devs were thinking.
• (2025-08-12) I have been using this plugin for over 6 years. It has been a game changer for my work flows. I've set it up where each client of mine at work has their own window I can open that goes directly to thier services online. It's been great for years! I've set up tabs for travel plans, for specific work projects. I mean this app is perfect! Until last year I started to work, and all my tabs were gone. no restoratation no help. ok lets go again - I spent this year using session buddy again, building up my client tabs for work and personal use. I probably have about 15 workflows saved. AND TODAY>>>>>GONE!!! Good bye Session Buddy. Please fix this issue.
• (2025-08-08) Worked great as a backup and organizational tool for moving systems to browsers that handle Chrome extensions.
• (2025-08-06) This extension has poor usability and, worse, doesn't work right. For usability, it lacks even the most obvious conveniences, like choosing a reasonable default name when saving a session, providing a simple drop down interface, or providing a single keystroke to save the current state or to update the session after changes are made, ... It even warns that it chose an obviously inappropriate keyboard shortcut (cmd-b), but for some reason hasn't fixed this yet. I have also found this extension to be about as unreliable as any I've ever used. The first time I tried to save sessions, I saved several sessions using variations in what I included, then closed and immediately reopened the extension page, just to make sure it was working. When it reopened, the page was blank, and the sessions never reappeared. On subsequent uses, similar failures are not only not rare, they seem to be the norm. For instance, the last time I attempted to restore as session, of 397 tabs, only 74 were restored. It would be very unwise for anyone to rely on this extension, or even waste time exploring its use. I strongly encourage the developer to stop development of this extension and remove it from the extension store, as a service to the community. The last thing we need is more poorly written extensions wasting our time and diluting the extension ecosystem. Please leave the development of extensions to people with the talent and knowledge to do so successfully.

• (2025-07-29) Labelling and retrieving tabs is extremely important. Another user mentioned version 3 had cyrillic support. Well it recognized Korean as well but now the new version only accepts english which is extremely frustrating. Please make the search feature usable again.
• (2025-07-28) All saved collections disappeared after years of storing. There were no updates, nothing. This is the worst app for this purpose ever
• (2025-07-26) I had a quite big collection of tabs in groups. Unfortunately this plugin did not save the grouping at all. So while the tabs still open, the grouping is gone. Very bad, because the grouping was the important thing for me.
• (2025-07-24) Great extension, I have been using it for many years but I have a few comments for the developers. 1. Add support for Cyrillic in the search, it was in version 3 but for some reason you removed it in version 4. 2. Make the optimization of opening sessions with more than 60 simultaneously opened tabs more flexible. On weak computers, simultaneously opening 60 or more tabs leads to the computer freezing. Implement delayed loading of tabs for all tabs, as it is done in the Tab Session Manager extension. Or add an "Enable Optimization" option in the settings to freeze the simultaneous opening of all session tabs, regardless of their number.
• (2025-07-23) Don't usually do this, but had to write this. Had alot of pinned tabs and lost all of them because sometimes when I open two browser windows and close out of my main one first it only remembers the newly opened one. Usually I can get it back by going to history and restore recently closed tabs, but this time there was nothing there. Added this extension after that and completely forgot about it. Just now the same thing happened again and was stressin a bit scrolling through forums and trying different things for a while....and then I remembered - I have this addon! Opened it and boom - one click and it was all back! It actually worked perfectly and saved alot of pain in my a... THANK YOU! (I'm on Opera GX btw)
• (2025-07-22) Updates REGULARLY delete ALL my sessions with no way to recover them. Horrible app!
• (2025-07-22) It's OK, if you don't mind having multiple windows open every single time you switch "session". Much prefer SimpleTabGroups method seen on Firefox where you select a drop down for your named session/group of tabs, and it opens them all in your active window. Having to open a window each time you open a group of tabs is just annoying and consuming. I can do that with built in bookmark manager of the browser already so don't really gain anything.
• (2025-07-20) I'm looking for a tab and session management replacement and the only thing this is lacking is drag-and-drop of a tab from one collection to another. Alternatively the ability to select (using multi-selection hold down either the Shift or CTRL key, selecting what tabs from a collection you want to perform an action upon such as 'copy' or 'move' as folders that appear in the popup right-click context menu), then select from the popup menu tree the collection folder with sub-items for each collection. Click the 'target' collection and wham they're moved there. That would really set this session/tab manager apart and improve ease of management of existing tabs / collections, . eg: If a user has 3 collections "Home", "Work", "Play", in the pop-up context menu, there is a menu item "Copy to collection" which folds out to display "Home", "Work", "Play", and also below that "Move to collection" which folds out to display "Home", "Work", "Play". Once the target is clicked, the selected action is preformed on the selected tabs in a collection. Then this app is a 5/5.
• (2025-07-19) Works great in Opera GX (version 119.0.5497.186). Used to work for workspaces but doesn't save tabs in them since the last major update of that browser.
• (2025-07-17) Having an issue with the Help section, can't email support. And by extension can't find a solution to a sudden wipe. Otherwise, certainly the best tab manager today. -Opera GX user

• (2025-07-14) I just tried and tested a Collection save, close, and open. 10 tab groups and nested tab groups gone in an instant. All the tabs are back, but flat. Does this not support grouped tabs? I should have tested on a test session. Just assumed grouped tabs would be retained. Fortunately Chrome has Group Back up. I guess technically, with the latest Group saves in Chrome, you can just control sessions with groups now to a certain degree. Perhaps no snapshots or group history present there yet....

• (2025-07-08) I am a Chinese user. Why do I never get any results when I search for the name of a tab? There is nothing. I can only search for URLs, but I can't possibly know what each URL is called. Please Help me

• (2025-06-24) Really good, but needs some work. Every time I try to find the list of snapshots I forget the arcane click sequence to do it. Also can't remove tabs lists. These are niggles though, the extension is extremely useful.

• (2025-06-07) Incredibly unstable. Upon use it lost nearly 170 tabs, instead just picking a handful and duplicating them 170 times. Don't download. Or if you do, don't count on it.
• (2025-06-07) Amazing app this is the exact app I was looking for, I always used the group feature in browser which ends up taking unnecessary memory for keeping it alive after I came across this app I found out that I can store it without wasting my resources and ever since this then there aren't any lags in my browser. Thanks for creating this amazing app and making it free. If I were to suggest any feature to be added Firstly I recommend adding a move to option in the main window of sessionbuddy It doesn't have a move the tabs to already saved collection which makes it a hassle to copy the links and paste it on the collection then try adding a sync option which syncs the saved/collection of tabs in Gdrive or any other cloud storage which might come in handy incase of any data loss or will be useful to sync across many devices.
• (2025-06-06) After session manager stopped working I never really look for another option, I'm glad I took a second to google and find this, great stuff guys, if I can suggest adding a drag and drop feature to include links from a current session into a folder that would be great, also a way to export would be great too (you may have this already I just haven't found it yet)
