  • (2025-03-04) Mark Bradford: My company just switched to Harvest, and the Time Tracker extension is very disappointing. Once I start the timer, I'm not able to add additional detail to the notes which means I'm forced to go to the website to update the entry if anything changes or I start another task. There's also not an option to pause the timer which is moronic. D- work on this one. Is any of this on the roadmap?
  • (2025-01-21) Haider Alleg: Good promise, wrote to the suppor twice seems no answers coming from them... Quite a pity I regarded this company differently when they started years ago now I just can hope they either update their guidelines on their site or make it happen to track with notion from this extension
  • (2025-01-21) Nicolas Delrez: The Track time button integration for gitub seems to not work anymore ... Nothing happens when clicking
  • (2024-10-09) Eduardo Manstretta: I'm having an issue with the extension and Asana. The time tracked data is not being shown on all tasks of the list view, only some. This is one of the main reasons why we chose to use the extension, is it a bug or something we can do on our end to fix it? I'm using Chrome Version 129.0.6668.101
  • (2024-07-19) Sam Bulow: I like harvest quite a bit. I generally like the asana integration (through web). I don't like the way the total time on a task shows up on every single task in the project or My Task view. It's visual clutter for me and isn't helpful. I'd be fine seeing it when I click into a task, but I don't need to see it on every single task I track. Can you remove this or make it a feature I can turn on/off? If I'm missing something on how to turn this "option" off, please let me know!
  • (2024-07-09) Mikkel Hansen: The hover-popup in Asana on every, single, task: Time visibility Open the Harvest extension in the Chrome toolbar to view the time tracked to each Asana task. Is super frustrating and intrusive! We really need options to disable this terrible feature.
  • (2024-07-03) Stephanie Lee: Please remove the Time visibility window that pops up when you move your mouse over the Harvest symbol. Not sure what the H symbol with the 0:00 is for either, it's quite distracting.
  • (2024-07-02) Emily Snyder: The new asana integration WOULD be great, but now if I hover over the Harvest symbol (purposefully, or just to move my cursor over to the other side of the screen) A large "Time Visibility" explanation pop-up appears. It is absolutely infuriating, and doesn't go away if I move my mouse, it stays for far too long and I don't need this explanation anymore. We need an option to turn off the pop-up, I've had to turn off this extension due to this change.
  • (2024-07-01) Justin Mosebach: No option to remove it from Asana. It adds annoying "Time visibility" buttons with a hover-note every time you move your mouse over it. And we don't use Harvest in Asana!
  • (2024-01-09) Arthur Floriani Martins: Does the job, although with very poor UX. Our company was forced to use this extension, now that Asana no longer supports Harvest as an app. With this integration with have the same feature, but: - Sometimes it does not auto-complete the Notes using the title of the task; - It does not learn the categories and projects that I logged on the past.
  • (2023-11-10) Markus Meyer: These notifications are annoying. How to solve? Other extensions also do not spam like that.

  • (2023-11-02) Matthew Nakaska: Installed this because harvest-asana integration is being discontinued. Followed the instructions to the letter, got the 4.1 extension and Chrome is up to date. Signed into harvest account through the extension. Still no clock showing where it used to on Asana.

  • (2023-11-02) Danillo Neto: Not sure if this is only to me, but the Time Clock icon stopped showing on Asana right today. Yesterday was working and I didn't change anything on my computer.

  • (2023-10-26) Jon Pienaar: Very useful for my work, writing for various projects being managed on Asana. App support is being discontinued but I don't mind as I'm happy working in the browser. One niggle is that it doesn't always grab the correct project/task from Asana, just the task title that appears in the comment box. So I could end up with "0127 ClientName JobName" in the Project window (being from a previous project), while the correct Asana task description appears in the "notes" window.

  • (2023-09-29) Quan Dang: I literally can't block the notification about a "site has been updated in the background". I select the "Block" notification option in the Chrome extension settings, and it automatically switches it back to "Allow" immediately. I thought it was fixed, but how is this still an issue since April 2023?!

  • (2023-06-01) Adam Reece: Constantly creates notifications about some site changing, blocking these doesn't work. No idea why it needs access to my entire browser history either. Seriously sub-standard, should not be in the mainstream extension store.

  • (2023-04-11) Notifications and the ability to access my browser history required out of nowhere, I've not seen an explanation. Our software development company used to use this because of the trello button being nice. We are all removing it because of course we are.
  • (2023-04-06) Jeremy Farrance: A recent update suddenly REQUIRED both Notifications and the ability to access my browser history. Did this extension get hijacked or something? Removed it - even though we need and used it regularly. I hope this gets undone soon. Hopefully it was a mistake or something?

  • (2023-04-05) Andrew Slattery: Latest update has broken this extension on GitHub, and is forcing a ton of useless notifications to Windows.

  • (2023-04-05) Igor Mursa: Overall like it but github extension stopped working due to extensions attempting to send a request to https://https//platform.harvestapp.com/platform, i hope this gets fixed as soon as possible
  • (2022-08-05) Doesn't display a counter, I assumed that was the entire purpose of the extension. It does turn orange, but it's easy to forget your timer is running and how much time you've spent. 5 stars if it showed the live task time in the toolbar, with the amount of $ we're paying for this I can't believe Harvest has neglected the extension.
  • (2022-03-18) Megan Gallagher: It was great until the recent update where they added a "Sign out" button where the "My Timesheet" button previously was. Now I constantly accidentally sign out because I'm so used to hitting the my timesheet button there. Bad UX choice.

  • (2021-03-04) Zen Note: Extension works as intended on all listed browsers. Sadly there is no Opera support. It's usable on opera through the chrome extension addon but features like the basecamp integration are sadly out of reach. I would love to see Opera beeing supported in the future.

  • (2021-01-18) Logan: DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXTENSION!!!!! It's actually malware or a virus designed to use up all the available ram on your computer! The extension and the web software didn't work for our company, just didn't meet our needs, so we cancelled during the free trial. Now, none of us can remove the extension from our Chrome browser, nor can it be disabled. Five different employees, no domain, no group policy, all individual installs of the extension on separate accounts. It's also a huge resource hog when chrome is open. Before the addition of this extension, chrome never used more than about 3gb of ram, no matter how many tabs or windows were open. After the addition of the extension, it regularly uses 5 or 6gb even if there is only one tab or window open. It appears to be little better than Malware, except that no anti-malware software sees it as suspicious, so it can't get rid of it.

  • (2020-09-22) Lisa Niehoff: Works okay. Would be better if you can change to other tasks directly, like in the iPhone and iMac App.
  • (2020-02-17) Fredrik Sundmyhr: Works great.

  • (2019-12-30) Chuck Adams: It does the job, but it's pretty basic. Navigating the dropdowns is annoying even with a few projects. A "recently used" list would make that better. Takes a while when starting/stopping for the button color to actually change.

  • (2019-07-26) Tomasz Banas: Harvest came up with the extension and is not doing anything to add new functionalities. There is no even integration with Gmail. Harvest could learn a lot from a company like ClickUp, where they listen to their community and collaborate with them, finding ways to build a better product.

  • (2019-03-28) While the Microsoft Store App is good, the Chrome Extension seems like a very careless effort. The interface is outdated with 3D buttons, there's only one task that is visible in the list, and the only option you have is to stop the timer of the shown task! Once you stop the timer the orange Harvest extension icon grays out, and then when you click on the extension icon again, it gives you a new option to create a new task or duplicate one of your older tasks from before. The funny thing is once the timer to start again with one of the older tasks from the list, the time starts from 0:00 and not from where we'd left off, thereby actually duplicating the task (as a new one) which gets reflected in the Web and App interfaces.
