Return YouTube Dislike restores the ability to see dislikes on YouTube.
Starting December 13th 2021, YouTube removed the ability to see dislikes from their API.
This extension aims to restore power to users by using a combination of archived like and dislike data, as well as the likes and dislikes made by extension users to show the most accurate ratings.
Currently has 200+ million videos likes/dislikes data stored before December 13th, 2021
Actively growing and keeping up to date with uploads after December 13th, 2021
The more users that use the extension, the more accurate it will be
Unpopular videos uploaded after December 13th, 2021 may have less accurate data shown than more popular videos.
This extension is currently in an active development phase, so if you experience any issues, don’t hesitate to report them on our GitHub page or in our Discord server.

- Well, it was good while it lasted. A "return dislike button" extension randomly starting to show ads is absolutely unacceptable. Thanks for the last few years, but I won't be reinstalling your extension in the future, even if the annoying garbage gets removed. My trust was betrayed and I have no further interest in this project. Luckily Alphabet Inc. didn't remove the option to rate extensions.

- Author decided to start constantly begging for money for useless features.

- Author decided to add ads with some kind of "Premium analytics, reimagined". Yeah, you can keep your extension. I'll pass.

- Author started adding ads for his "premium analytics" paid feature in a recent update. Never using this again and waiting for someone to make an alternative extension.

- TLDR: Had an experience with this extension's intrusive ad. It has been fixed, but for what this extension aims to do I didn't see worth in paying to remove the rest of the ads. Had this extension for a long time up until today. I got ripped out of the middle of a game I was playing last night to get shown a full-page ad for their patreon. Never had an extension, even ones that silently implemented ads, do that before. I understand it has been fixed, and I understand the need for money to support the database, but the rest of these ads are quite annoying to have for an extension that most were using to bring back a rather small YouTube function. I also don't see much worth in paying $5 per month to get rid of them, even when looking into the premium features, since again all I used this extension for was to get shown a number. I think if this was expanded to change more things with YouTube, the dev could probably rally more free users behind becoming paying users. Or if they had created a new extension with said goal in-mind, so they could continue supporting this one. But I just don't see any reason to complicate what was once a very small, simple extension that people sought out due to YouTube stripping a feature away. I hope things go well for the dev, but unfortunately this has become an uninstall for me.

- Used to be a great, simple, useful tool to make youtube better. That is, until the author turned it into adware for their "analytics" garbage.

- Jesus. So many unemployed bums crying about such a very minor inconvenience pop up that appears like 1 time. If y'all are actually getting this upset over one singular pop up that you can simply click/tap "x" out of once, then you genuinely need mental help or something. Besides, the developer says this extensions' work does come at a cost and that maintaining it is not free for him. Just seems to me that people are just whining about potentially having to actually support something they've been using for years, A.K.A, a freeloader's worst nightmare lol.

- Extension icon > Settings icon > "Hide premium teaser panel". Until then... yeah, bad idea man.

- I don't understand why this extension is super highly rated. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM & DOES NOT SHOW THE EXACT AMOUNT OF DISLIKES ON VIDEOS. FOR EXAMPLE: It shows that my video has 5 dislikes, but when I go to YouTube Studio, it ACTUALLY has 54 dislikes. THIS MEAN THEY ARE LYING TO YOU. So ignore any positive reviews for this extension and avoid any extensions from returnyoutubedislike.com, including this one, as they are NOT legit AT ALL. So yeah, just get used to using YouTube without the dislike as this one has been TOTALLY FAKE and UNRELIABLE this ENTIRE time.

- Added ads for premium bs with no apparent way to disable. Don't use, not worth it.

- Asking for money through Patreon. If you want me to pay a one time fee I'm down, even up to $10 or something, but you're out of your dang mind if you think someone is going to spend $5 a MONTH just to see dislikes. Insane.

- The developers started injecting ads as a full page popup and made it a paid feature to remove those ads, very scummy practice

- $5 one time? Sure. I understand you need to pay your bills. Asking 6 million users to pay $5 every month? Greedy.

- No-one in the observable universe asked to be spoonfed spam about a YouTube dislike bar patreon page with "premium" features. Has essentially turned into an e-begging pop up ad generator now.

- stop advertising. i don't trust this extension anymore

- IDK man, not the way to go about this.

- Not even extensions are exempt from enshittification. I knew this would happen at some point. Uninstalling. Soliciting donations is reasonable since there probably is at least some upkeep cost, but the way this was done is totally tone deaf. Absolute clown shoes.

- I think this is a situation where cost rose up somehow so dev needed more funds to sustain it. However, with all the reviews recently, It shows how much people are very tired of ads. Not from this but from how a lot of the corporations out there are very greedy and imbedded this mindset into people. This is the internet culture we have now. So something like this that was ment to counter such a big corporation decision suddenly shows premium then cant blame people for being upset. However, if that dev was becoming greedy then why did they try to reply to most of the reviews to explain the situation? It shows they still passionate about it. Here is what i propose. A video from the dev to explain in detail what happen and why they need the extra funds. show reports and proof of the needed costs as well. To reassure people that this isnt a selfish cashgrab. Otherwise, I fear they will be vilified for now on. Giving a 3 star from the implementation but also to show some hope that it can be resolve. Just have to see what will come of this. To the people who write the review, if you dont like the extension just uninstall for now. wait to see if the dev responds or does something else in another update. For the dev. Take deep breath, If this is truley not a cash grab then just try your best to explain to folks. It cant be helped if people lose some hope in it cause of this internet culture we have but it not the end of it. :)

- Stop advertising to me. I want a dislike bar, nothing more.

- Loved it so far, except it showed a popup tab (on top of my current workflow) which was intended to show an update, but it showed a suggestion to join their patreon. This is a classic popup ad, unacceptable.

- imagine being so greedy that you beg for 15 dollars to pay for a freaking extension that does nothing but show dislikes. loser. don't download this.

- Acknowledging that maintaining this extension costs real money for data storage and API request handling, it seems like the author has embarked on a slippery slope to recouping cost by pushing a premium analytics service using the data they collect on dislikes, which seems like a direct violation of the stated data privacy policy for the extension: "This developer declares that your data is Not being sold to third parties, outside of the approved use cases" I am uninstalling this extension. I wish the author best of luck.

- spammed with options for paying.

- Got enshittified by injecting advertisement for premium on the side of videos with no way for the regular user to opt out or stop it... I didn't mind the initial popup to announce the premium though I found it abit off putting but I was willing to give them a chance. I understand needing money to cover the server hosting costs but they really chose to burn the goodwill up. Sadly removed.

- Now bugs and pesters you with ads and pop-ups to get their premium version. I only manage because I used an ad-blocker against all the premium advertisement so things go back to the way it was.

- Is placing ad's in all my videos to try and get me to sign up for a "premium" version of the app that essentially goes against youtubes TOS, I dunno how you think you can try and charge for that!

- Sorry! This extension is no longer supported or recommended by CybyAPI due to intrusive popups every browser restart and injecting ads into youtube. If you guys needed money for server costs there was much better ways you guys could have done this: 1. one SINGLE popup that never shows again reminding users of a patron for extra features 2. ad for patron when opening extension by clicking on the icon instead of injecting it into the website 3. ad on the settings page that does not cover buttons or make the website unusable
