Description from store
Scriptblock is an extension that provides better control of javascript, iframes and other unwanted content.
It even can midigate cross-site-scripting(XXS) attacks and drive-by-downloads.
ScriptBlock works perfectly together with other extensions like AdBlock, AdBlock Plus or Ghostery.
You can add your trusted sites to a whitelist, so they will not be affected by ScriptBlock.
If you like this extension, please support me and click on the donate button or give me a good review in chrome web store. :)

- (2025-06-22) Marcel Knauer: Loved this extension. Haven't yet found a replacement. I don't know why this has been disabled by Google, while other apps that claim to do the same are still online. ScriptBlock definitely was the most comfortable to use once you had built up your whitelist. I hope it will return.
- (2025-03-03) huffie00: Why chroms blocking this is beyond me do they want us not to use chrome anymore?
- (2025-03-03) osirisgothra (osirisgothra): *Might* be useful to people that can't just not go to malicious websites. For my uses however it was completely useless. It breaks internal browser functions like dev tools which defeats the point of me using it. It seems you can only whitelist servers and I don't see any options beyond that. I was hoping for maybe a prompt or a tool window saying what to block, when, and where, and of course, not block client-side stuff. From what I can see here, it seems pretty esoteric as far as configurability and usability goes, which unfortunately to me is useless. so /(o,,o)/~~yeet
- (2024-12-20) Sun RA: I like it, but it has a serious problem with freezing up some known good websites, without the ability to allow them on the spot. I'd rather not go into the settings each time to whitelist them. EDIT 12/20/24: I see Chrome's doing some BS, and removing script and ad blockers...

- (2024-04-05) M P: Takes up 20+% of my CPU power and I have an I9-13900K. Locks up my PC whenever I try to add something to the whitelist. Fix this broken extension!!
- (2023-09-11) Shadowcatcher Fox: Would be better if the popup for determining whether to allow/deny/temporary allow a site's scripts to run wouldn't be mostly obfuscated by the url bar, making it impossible to make a selection.

- (2020-11-25) William Gault: Awesome! Currently using this in Microsoft Edge (Chromium). At first you'll find yourself annoyed with all the sites with broken features since the extension is blocking scripts by default but once you start whitelisting your usual sites, you'll start to notice the internet is a better place. Less popups, less auto-starting video adverts, and certainly a safer browsing experience.

- (2020-08-04) Carl Page: Was useful but now seems to block my ability to control my local routers such as negear, and stops sites that use CloudFlare. Need to unistall.

- (2020-07-26) Bady89: Simple and Good , since years my favorite tool against scripts. It is not true that you can only block all or nothing , you can choose from a List what you want and what not.

- (2019-07-27) First Last: i actually LOVE this extension and consider it VITAL but basically, I can't use it anymore because some dumbas* reason this extension overwrites the standard javascript Math function... even when you disable on whatever page you want to visit, it still breaks it... it even breaks incognito mode even when the extension is not enabled for incognito mode... WHY ARE YOU OVERWRITING STANDARD JS FUNCTIONS?

- (2019-06-04) Seth Rick: It works great, on most cases, only disappointment would be the lack of blacklist mode, it can be much handier if it let user to choose between blacklist mode (only block certain sites) and whitelist mode (block everthing not on the white list).

- (2019-05-20) Bruce Bates: I was looking for a scrip that would block all iframes from loading. The plugin claims to be able to block/control iframes. To put it simply, it doesn't work. I tested on my server in 2 minutes. Created a page which loaded another page in an iframe. I insalled this plugin and revisited the page.... the page loaded fine, so did the iframe and its contents. Nothing blocked. Uninstalling plugin now.

- (2019-03-13) Paul T: A useful extension for wide web-browsing. Once you use it for a while you'll have all your regular sites whitelisted and prevents random popups and other garbage from executing anything. Yea it's very simple (basically just a switch) and has little to no filtering but it does the job. Also a great workaround for those ***hat sites that force you to turn ublock/adblock off or deny access.

- (2018-11-08) chillystella: 很强大但体验很不友好,最佳的策略应该是默认不屏蔽所有网站,用户想屏蔽时再开启。

- (2018-08-08) Peter Hansen: Very good and simple scriptblocker that makes casual browsing safer for most people. It's not as fine-grained as say Scriptsafe, but that doesn't change that it does a good job. Kudos. Good to have it back on the store.

- (2018-07-13) Dwight Brooks: Very glad it's back in the store! It's the best app on Chrome for blocking unwanted scripts.
