Το HostAdvice είναι ένα δωρεάν εργαλείο το οποίο δίνει τη δυνατότητα στους χρήστες να ελέγχουν – με ένα κλικ του ποντικιού – που φιλοξενούνται οι διάφοροι ιστότοποι.
Αυτή η επέκταση θα προσθέσει απλώς ένα μικρό κουμπάκι στον περιηγητή σας. Έτσι, κάθε φορά που θα βρίσκεστε σε έναν ιστότοπο και είστε περίεργοι ποιος τον φιλοξενεί, απλά κάνετε κλικ στο κουμπάκι και αυτό σας δίνει όλες τις πληροφορίες που χρειάζεστε.
Αυτό είναι σημαντικό για διάφορους λόγους. Αν σας ενδιαφέρει να αγοράσετε ένα όνομα τομέα (domain name), μπορείτε να δείτε με ποιον πρέπει να έλθετε σε επαφή, ακόμη και αν το "ποιος είναι" για ένα τομέα δεν φαίνεται στις πληροφορίες επικοινωνίας. Μπορείτε επίσης να έλθετε σε επαφή με την εταιρία παροχής φιλοξενίας, να δείτε αν ο ιστότοπος παραβιάζει τα δικαιώματά σας με οποιοδήποτε τρόπο και να ζητήσετε από την εταιρία που τον φιλοξενεί να διακόψει την λειτουργία του! Αυτός είναι πιθανόν και ο μόνος αποτελεσματικός τρόπος να αντιμετωπίσετε ένα σάιτ το οποίο προσβάλλει ένα άτομο, μια κοινότητα, κλπ.

Waste of space sadly, it gets it so wrong as it's basing it on DNS and not IP for the A record. So ALL my sites it incorrectly guesses because the DNS of a lot of UK hosts use incognito DNS, but IP look ups do reveal host which I'd hoped this would use. Removing it and trying something else. Shame.

Not what I expected. I was hoping to have in-extension data instead of taking to a new website. I checked couple of websites, the data is not correct. It shows NS info as hosting info instead of showing IP address whois data.

בהתחלה לא ממש הבנתי מה זה עושה, אבל אז התקנתי ובאמת זה נותן לי תשובה לכל אתר היכן הוא מאוחסן. זה איפשר לי ליצור קשר עם מישהו שכתב עלי טעות באינטרנט והוא הסיר אותה (לא היה מייל שלו באתר, רק התוסף הזה איפשר לי דרך חברת האחסון ליצור איתו קשר). ממליצה מאוד, זה גם קטן ויושב יפה בצד בלי להפריע
