- Great extension which I think might be becoming obsolete with all the different platforms incorporating their own AI speech outputs. Still, best one I've found so far!

- Great extension! I wish there was a lifetime premium option available. It's also a bit pricey. Quality human-like voices though. I recommend it for college students or if you're tired of robotic voices already. If anyone interested, get $60 off and 1 month free when you sign up with this link: https://share.speechify.com/mzAcdfi Like this review if you find it valuable!

- It's a great help for someone with ADHD, however there is room for improvement. I love it when it works! There is an option where you can record your own voice and reading style and it will save it and you can listen to yourself read out aloud. Pretty cool!! I also like that you can upload a text when you log in online on the computer, and it will read that to you. It's very expensive especially for a student. Sometimes it reads brackets and commas and footings even though I coughed up $135, if I remember correctly that's how much I paid and think it's not a one time fee but annually, and sometimes it just doesn't want to read for me, it's very finicky, or it starts at the wrong place. And I just had to update my password to be able to log in so I wouldn't have to listen to a robot reading for me. Sometimes it is very time consuming to make her read what I want or where I want her to start, oh yes, I like to have Gwyneth Paltrow read for me, or Francesca from Great Britain with her British accent. And it doesn't read certain websites, like my nursing school website Sherpath, or the quiz questions, I wish it did. Taking a picture of my text book so it will read it for me is a great idea, but it's very hard to take a good picture of the pages of the nursing textbook, it won't read the entire line where the pages are bind together, impossible to include that curve in the picture, it is more like a scanner and it will cut off what's in the curve of a very thick book, but it will include the pictures on the page and will read the not so important words under the pictures, or table 42, or box 35.

- I like this application however its very expensive if you want to use it extensively.

- The AI voice needs to learn more words because some of them sound almost too weird to understand so I have to watch the screen to make sure that I know what they're trying to say.

- Excellent tool and Intuitive to use. It is boosting my efficiency while listening to articles on my wireless headphones while away from the computer, and at the gym when I'm working out. It's like an audiobook or audible but with more diverse content/format/upload options. Happy with their customer support team as well. I'm really enjoying it.

- Sure, it makes learning fun and very helpful

- Use it all the time. Some of the voices are monotonic and need careful selection. It would be nice to have a function to clone your own voice and speaking style.

- I would be unable to complete my masters program without it. ADHD and dyslexic this toll has completely change how I engage academically. I give it a 4.5/5 as there is always room for improvement but overall love Speechify.

- I really do enjoy using Speechify. There are some challenges in reading certain texts and being able to distinguish numbers (years, money, etc.) and it does not always recognise all texts within the document. I got the paid version so that I can have full benefits and overall, I am satisfied. It really makes reading long text for work and school or casual reading, no longer an unwelcomed task.

- The extension is quite good, however every time I restart my computer, I have to readjust my voice and speed settings. A few months ago, this was not the case.

- "Great" App for online articles, and other online content but only "good" for real book photo uploads. Good app but seems to have a hard time with real book photo uploads. Better than before but still struggles with those words in the crevices of the book binding, or if there are a lot of pictures. If the lines of the paragraph are not perectly straight then it sometimes tries to align them itself, which is sometimes off. Not a big deal. I also have to skew and crop each page. "Great" App for online articles, and other online content but only "good" for real book photo uploads. Still better than having to actually read for me though, so its still worth it. I'm in college and sometimes have a 60 page academic reading for 1 of my 4 classes this week. It can take me 40 minutes to photo, crop and upload the book. But it would have taken me 3 hours to read it all, so still helps. Plus I can listen again and again. Pro tip only upload about 10-15 photos at a time. More then that and sometimes it doesn't load EVER! It just spins and spins. One time it span for 30min uploading and worked other times it span for 1 hour and nothing. This is very frusterating when you don't have a lot of free time.

- This is a great app. You can listen instead of reading whats on your screen. This allows you to multitask. I would ask the developers to add more choices of voices.

- I found Speechify years ago when I found out my son was Dyslexic. I love how easy it is to navigate and use on my phone and my laptop. I am a slow reader so this helps with trainings that I have.

- I have a cataract in my right eye and this helps me to read. I don't like the pauses in the reading. I prefer Canadian and American accent. It's a good tool, nevertheless.

- I loved the ability to hear my fav books read by in UK accent. I hope they add Australian and New Zealand accent in future release. Hoping they add new features that allow for subtlety in pauses that sound like conversation.

- An excellent tool for my study. Thanks a lot!

- Generally the speechify service is great, but there are some really annoying aspects of the extension. 1. It's really bad with Google Docs. It will start auto reading even though you don't want it to. Even if you disable all the features in the settings 2. Whenever you are listening, a pop-up follows your cursor that keeps blocking the text you want to read that says "Click Any Sentence To Start Listening To It". Even if you disable the hover feature, there's no way of turning off that message. It blocks the text and is super annoying.

- This is a dream come true for me, I always needed someone to read for me faster, 2x always.
- Anonymous
- It's weird, I use it to listen to my writing, now take that with the pinch of salt it deserves. but when I writing something that I want the reader to feel not just read I like to have it read to me. This a great for that. Highly recommend.

- It is helpful to hear given text, both for editing and for flexibility of where/how one listens. This has the potential to be convenient and effective, but there are still bugs to improve it. Different narrators have varying success. Simple mistakes abound: not ending a question with a rise in tone; spelling "Ms." instead of saying "Miss/Mz;" ending a sentence without a pause before beginning the next. I believe these things can be solved by involving more context to queue the audio for appropriate responses/choices that are difficult to distinguish, much like understanding the difference in accent and meaning between uses of a word that is spelled exactly the same but can have different meanings ("present" as in tense, time, delivery, or gift.) The system also has challenges in selecting text for more convenient access (having to cut and paste rather than point and start, or save and close a working file before feeding into speechify.) These are easier to solve. Overall, I think this will become a very useful tool with further development. Including experienced book narrators in version review could be helpful. Good luck!

- I am excited that this app is constantly improving. I would love to see integration or ways to download annotations in different formats (txt, csv, etc) so that it can be imported into other apps for writing, or perhaps, we will be able to write and use our annotations directly as we write in Speechify.

- Great extension, super helpful with long documents! 5 stars if it can remember my settings from last time, and I don't need to select the voice that I like, and the speed every day. Also, it would be nice that the extension could recognize and differentiate better different punctuation signs, i.e. "WCAG 1.4.11" shouldn't be read as "WCAG January fourth, eleven", or when reading a bullet point list, after finishing one point, it jumps immediately to the next without making any pause. Something similar happens with periods after finishing a paragraph.

- Excellent app love it, especially when I'm researching long fields

- Easy to use on my MacBook Air. More difficult on my iPhone. I like the premium voice, I chose Gwynth Paltrow. I find that Speechify let's me take in articles and emails that would otherwise not hold my attention due to my aquired ADHD.
