- The product itself is good (reading text as audio) but unfortunately the sign up, subscription and account settings flows are dumpster fires that made me lose faith and not want to trust them with my money. First of all, despite already having an account, I can't just sign in. Every time I visit the site they make me go through this asinine "preferences" flow as though I am a first time user. Then, despite there being an advertised monthly rate, when I go to checkout, I am only offered an annual subscription rate. And that's when I can even get to the checkout (half the time the extension just won't respond). At the subscription menu I was also offered a "365 day free trial" using the Paypal option, that suddenly turned into a $104 today with auto-renew for $135/year at checkout... I could go on. Then I tried to contact support, but surprise, was redirected to pay the annual fee to get access to "premium fast support"... Seriously, this is just anti-pattern after anti-pattern. I wanted to give you my money, but now I won't. Get it together. If you can't create a sensible sign up and subscription flow, I don't trust you with my money on an auto-renewing service. If it's this hard, opaque, and chock full of scammy anti-patterns just trying to sign up, I don't even want to know what the off-ramps look like.

- crashes too frequently... i will look for alternative when my subscription ends

- Speechify is an excellent TTS. But without contextualizing the text, it risks misreading abbreviations, and at times the alternative pronunciations of same letter words.

- Best investment I've ever made for college as someone with ADHD!

- Pretty good... It pauses in odd places, even when there is no punctuation in the text. Other than that, it's very helpful.

- Truly amazing fro ADHD users and anyone who likes reading articles but can't read and make dinner at the same time. Set up your laptop, find an article and click play. It's like making an article a podcast instantly. Absolutely genius.

- I do like the applications, its helpful for someone like me, someone who has text all become jumbled and all become on, but one problem is the constant asking for a review, i do understand why, but for many user I can speak for, its make its annoying at times, but I would still use this if you have the same problem I do.

- Speechify is a God send, I have dyslexia and reading and rereading was my standard practice. Now I have been empowered to get all of my reading completed in record time. Thank you Speechify!

- Love ths app! I have so much reading to do for my work and Speechify helps me so much! I use it all the time! 100% recommended!

- Helpful when it works. It does crash a lot and sometimes it never loads or starts. I have to go entire study sessions without it (so what's the point of paying?). I've even reached out to support but they did nothing to help, nor did they allow me a prorated amount for the months it wasn't working for me. It also doesn't work on all webpages. There are several instances in which I was trying to get it to read my textbook and it would not. I'd give this app a few years to work out their bugs before getting a membership. I am finishing out my subscription and will look for an alternative after.

- I love Speechify! It’s intuitive, powerful, and truly makes reading so much easier. The only thing I’d change is the behavior of the player when I reposition it. Right now, if I move the player, it doesn’t stay in that spot—it shifts unless I manually adjust it again. I’d really appreciate an option to lock it in place or dock it so it stays exactly where I want it. I’ve also noticed that the player works much better on the left side of my screen than the right. When it’s on the right, it tends to cover important information, while the left side is far less intrusive. Being able to set a default position or easily toggle between sides would make the experience even smoother. Overall, Speechify is fantastic—these small tweaks would make it absolutely perfect!

- I love this program the only issue I have is that it sometimes doesn't pause in the correct places or reads through phrases that should be segmented when reading. I guess that is the issue with AI - it doesn't understand all of the nuances of our language. Is there a way to tell it to not read the footnotes of a page? But overall the program is FANTASTIC!

- I'm using my own voice as the set one, which I love a lot. Not just because it's my voice, but because it sound exactly likewise. Beside that, it does not sound like a hesitant chatbot as it used to before. Speechify is best!!!

- Really good when it works but lately most of the time it glitches. It crashes and asks to be 'Refreshed'. I cannot get more than a sentence out of it now even though I have done all the trouble shooting advice. On Google Chrome extension version. Such a shame

- i have autism and have a hard time sitting down and reading and rarely retain information well if I am not able to auditorily process it, Speechify is an accessibility tool at its finest. It has been critical to my work and my education. Very user friendly and very approachable and applicable across all of my works.

- Great product. I end up reading more long-form content as it helps me stay on track and focused in our modern distraction-filled environment. Also great as a reading assistant in other areas and for narrating content I've written if I want my voice to be anonymous.

- Making grad school so much more possible!

- This has saved me in university with the amount of readings I have to do. I also absorb information better by listening than by reading, so Speechify has been a game-changer. Just a heads up, for some online textbooks, it doesn't recognize the words and won't read anything out loud.

- love it for narrating my writing projects! Gantz-T (i am not a botter >.>)

- 90% of the time its amazing. Only thing is sometimes it claims there is no text so i have to turn off the extension and turn it back on and then it fixes. Doesn't happen too often. But this app is definitely worth the money.

- I give them five stars. I do have one small request. I have it read a lot of screenplays for me that have watermarks on them. I guess the watermark interferes with the reader. That would be something you could look into is making sure that all PDF files that are made with watermarks on the pages, read, smoothly, and in order. A lot of times the dialogue gets skipped over the parts get red out of order. I have a feeling the watermark is interfering with the software is capability of reading the screenplay. But other than that, it's a brilliant piece of software.

- I quite like it, and use it for everything Document related from books and stories to official paperwork & would absolutely recommend it, but It is not perfect and without issue. I just managed to fix an issue I have had for several months in which it would not copy documents like its supposed to or read from the web page. (I had to remove and reinstall the addon - thats on me). Sometimes my setting will reset themselves, usually after an update and skip lines and/or whole paragraphs. Also, given how much I use it I often exceed the seemingly very arbitrary word limit. And that limit seems shorter when you are reading Directly from a webpage & not in the speechify app. As a paying subscriber I should not be forced to worry about Word limits

- sometimes the text highlight doesn't work, rest is good, i think punctuations have improved, understanding all caps text and how to read them has also become better....still can be a way better experience than this in terms of understanding what to read and what to not, distinguishing footers, headers, parenthesis, math language etc

- I use it when I feel like not reading because Im an Audio Learner. Very helpful

- the ability for it to read chatgpt replies makes this invaluable, it's a must have an worth every penny if you do learning though chatgpt but know that advanced voice mode is limited, this almost replaces it

- I like Speechify it works well for me as a full time student to quickly read and analyze papers. The summary and AI chat tools are helpful for breaking down concepts. The highlighting and notes feature are life savers! It has a hard time sometimes with papers that have two columns of text, it tries to read across the page.

- Great extension! I wish there was a lifetime premium option available. It's also a bit pricey. Quality human-like voices though. I recommend it for college students or if you're tired of robotic voices already. - I will say, this thing gets it's job done. It's simple, it's effective, and it's functional. It's job is to read to the viewer what is on the screen, and it does just that with no extra fluff. My only real complaint is less than that and more of confusion. Why would a reading extension need a premium? I, guess it's to pay the developers.

- good, its good, i just wanted the popup out of here, but yeah, i guess its really good👍🏿

- This app has made my reading much simpler and more effective. It has taken care of my laziness and procrastination on reading items and articles.

- A great choice if you like waiting for endless buffering. It's great when it works, but unfortunately that's rare.

- As someone with ADHD, sitting down to read a long article is a real challenge. Speechify solves that. Listening to the text while highlighting keeps my mind from wandering. It's like having a reading assistant that ensures I actually absorb the information. This extension is more than a tool; it's an accommodation that truly works.
