Description from store Loquacious is a productivity extension that will automatically parse the current webpage for an article and read it outloud at the push of a button or keyboard shortcut. No selections necessary, however if you find there is a significant amount of unwanted dialogue, you may alternatively select the text to be read before clicking the Loquacious icon. Works great for most news and article type websites such as Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, Wanderlust, IFLScience, or even Time. Allows you to easily listen to the article while doing other things rather than spending dedicated time reading. Also works well for the visually impaired. Keywords: Read. Article Reader. Audio Book. TTS. Text-to-speech. Accessability. Out loud. Speak. Talking. Talker. Talk. Automatic. Auto. One click. Listen. Listener. Converter. Convert.

  • (2020-03-28) Chee Yap: I really like the no selection feature. But here is a suggestion: allow to select "read to the end" (so you just select the starting point of reading). My problem is that it easily get stuck in a funny state so that it simply does not read (e.g., on my Chrome, it does not read no matter what I did). Then I install it on my Brave Browser. It worked, but then it got into a funny state that I could not stop it. So I restart the browser, and now it cannot speak anymore. Please make it more robust, and I would really like it.
  • (2018-11-23) Christian Estevez: I like the extension, thank you for creating it. I would like to know, if I'm able to add an additional voice
  • (2018-10-31) Walmir Valério: Pois se não está claro onde colar o texto a ser lido, fica impossivel avaliar o que quer que seja, não é? Já ouviram falar em ergonomia!?
  • (2018-07-18) mark ifi: How is this so lowly rated is beyond me. It's perfect. You have to set up your native TTS engine, though.(Ivona for windows xp or under, or Microsoft Hedda for 7 and over)
  • (2018-04-23) Phil Uhrich: It works ok but it doesn't let you increase the speed nearly enough. I usually use this TTS at speed 8: https://www.zabaware.com/#page=/reader/ Which is about 3X faster than the fastest this goes. Alternatively if this had an option to copy the main article text to the clipboard that would help a lot too.
  • (2018-04-16) Alfredo Hernandez Jr.: Just works... GOD YES!!!!!
  • (2018-02-14) Hani Hassan: It is awesome, I love it... Please add option to pause either stop and restart the article. Plus also add settings to skip any tag like quote tag or anchor tag. Thanks
  • (2017-08-31) Robert S: This works beautifully, with a choice of various English language voices, all very clear and natural sounding. To get it to read a web page, though, I found out I had to go to the Loquacious entry in my list of Chrome Extensions and CHECK the "ALLOW ACCESS TO FILE URL's" box. Maybe some of the reviewers who said the extension didn't work didn't have that box checked? If so, they could check the box and try again. Thanks to the developer for a great job.
  • (2017-06-15) Fierce Lioness: Not working
  • (2017-05-06) 呂韋儀: Generally, it works. But when I switch to the TTS engine made by Google and let it trying to speak out the texts, most of time Loquacious would stop in the half way of speaking and reason don't know why.
  • (2017-04-29) Himanshu Bhutiyani: Not working at all, even after selecting the text.
  • (2017-04-22) Ankit Bajaj: Not reading more
  • (2017-04-22) Ankit Bajaj: not working
  • (2017-02-07) Kellen Arduen: Just works. All the others I've tried have issues with shortcut not working or not working on most web pages. The shortcut keys work, selection works, reading the whole page works... on every page I've tried except data:text/html, <html contenteditable> page. If you add support for that, I would be very happy
  • (2017-01-25) Eston Potter: In Chrome it gives a verity of choices on when to read. However, the most important for me is that it has the ability to use the default (native) voices used by the system locally. Big plus for me, especially since I previously purchased an Ivona voice which I absolutely love and use for evrything locally.

Finalmente encontrei. Obrigado! EDIT: Infelizmente alterei a avaliação pois a alegria durou pouco. Agora ele trava e não le mais :(
  • (2016-05-10) Peter Zhe Chen: It works flawlessly! Love it
