Copy and paste player names to auto-populate your pre-draft rankings for Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
Tired of manually selecting preferred players for your fantasy football draft? This extension lets you copy and paste player names from your custom cheatsheet and load them into the Yahoo pre-draft interface. Here's how it works:
Navigate to "Draft" > "Pre-Draft Rankings" from the menu and click "Edit My Pre-Draft Player Rankings". Click the button to expand the default player list and paste your player names in the provided text box. Click "Next" to organize your player list and then click to search for players and queue them to be added to your list. Click "Save Changes" when your players have been added to the queue. All done!
This extension is for those who choose to auto-draft and/or those who get their cheatsheets from third-party sites like fantasypros.com.

- (2023-08-17) Chad B.: Works great! I come back to this extension every year and am always pleased. Saves me a ton of time. I even sacrificed my competitive advantage and recommended it to my league because nobody should have to deal with Yahoo's terrible pre-draft rankings tool.

- (2021-08-29) Sean O'Connor: Where has this been my whole life? This extension is SUCH a good time saver. Gone are the days of manually copying lists and scrolling or searching to find the right player. Done in just a couple minutes now. Love it, love it so much.
- (2021-08-16) adam auteri: Works perfectly. After 5 minutes of frustration I worked out that you need to clear any manual ranking you have already done. 1. Click "Result to default Rankings" 2. Click "Expand" 3. Paste your player list 4. Click "Match".
- (2021-08-06) Joe McShea: Put me down as another awesome! Been doing yahoo for 10+ years. It used to take me a couple of hours to do this manually, which was pretty annoying since I'd also have to update throughout the pre-season. I'm a programmer too, so a few years ago I finally wrote some JavaScript to suck in all players from my favorite site, and then some more to import it into yahoo, and just ran it in the console. Of course, name matching is the big PITA. Over time I got it working pretty well, but nowhere near as well as this extension. I considered turning it into a chrome extension, but never found the time. As others have already mentioned, if it's not matching many of your players, load more players in yahoo pre-draft rankings. The extension has to parse the players from the DOM, and it can't do that if they players aren't even loaded. The extension even makes that easy with the Expand "The Default Rankings" button, which just clicks yahoos Load More Players a bunch of times, not sure how many but it was enough for me to match my top 200 easily.
- (2021-03-28) Matt Dodge: This is great! 100% of players imported correctly. Don't forget to click the "Expand" button first before clicking the "Match" button.
- (2021-01-12) Luke L.: Works perfect and absolutely fool proof.
- (2020-09-05) Brandon Opre: Whew - game changer, life saver. Used my pre-draft list, copy/pasted in from excel spreadsheet and worked like a dream. Thank you!
- (2020-08-27) Dan Sprogis: Only finds about half the players right now. For instance, Josh Jacobs (Player Not Found) What gives? Will change if someone can help me out.
- (2020-03-14) Chris Lisser: Have used this the last few years for baseball and football. Not perfect, but sure beats manually ranking 300 players.
- (2019-09-27) Rhys Albrecht: Phenomenal tool. Recognized 99% of the players I imported from my own list, and saved me untold hours trying to rank my list using the built-in interface.
- (2019-09-03) Yi-an Chen: works for fantasy football
- (2019-08-24) Nick Shephard: Thank you so much for making this. I used it for my auto-draft league for the past two seasons and who knows how much time and anguish it saved me. As Natalie Merchant once said: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- (2018-08-28) Matt Zimmerman: Does not pickup the correct players. Just doesnt work well with yahoo FF. wasted my time
- (2017-08-12) Jaymes Jones: This saved me hours of time. I grabbed my favorite rankings off the web, pulled the player names out of the spreadsheet, pasted them in, and seconds later had my Yahoo rankings in order. Praise be to Henry Goodman — you're the man. One word of advice — click the "expand default player rankings" button before clicking next. And if you have already set some pre-draft rankings, just click start over and then use the extension. Otherwise, it won't work.
- (2016-09-03) Jason “Retailgeek” Goldberg: I built a custom cheat sheet on http://draftwizard.fantasypros.com/. In about 30 seconds, I was able to export that list to excel, make a field with just names (filtering out teams), paste it into this plugin and set it as my custom pre-draft rankings on yahoo. It matched every name (400+) on the first try. In past season I would have spent 2+ hours doing this manually. Awesome plug-in, thanks!
