The default behaviour of ctrl+click, shift+click, cmd+click (on macOS) and middle-click when clicking on links is to open the link in a new tab or new window.

This behaviour is sometimes broken by careless developers.

This add-on restores the default behaviour, ensuring the modifier keys always cause links to open in a new tab.

Jiyon John Lee 2024-01-29: This used to work well, until the last Chrome update, v. 121.0.6167.86. Now, Link Fixer somehow DISABLES every ctrl+click on every site. It even disables the "Open link in new tab" feature of Vimium. As soon as I make Link Fixer inactive, things are back to normal. Please fix this.

ICU FckMe 2022-11-08: I liked it when I first got it, but now it's not working right, so only 3 stars for now. I've only had this a short time, about a week or so. At first it worked as I expected, but now it's not. I use this in both Firefox and Chrome and it's doing the same thing where when I open a page, the page doesn't load and I have to refresh each page to finally get it to load. I want to add that I got both through the browser and not off Git Hub. I 2021-09-26: I only tried it on one website that I just noticed didn't have ctrl+click working on it, but this extension did fix the issue. I expect it to work for other websites as well.
