It's basically Youtube cinema mode on steroids. Fills the window without filling the screen. The devoloper has been receptive to issues and updating features when needed. Wonderful extension, Thanks!
Just what I was looking for. Although I wish the hotkey is something other than 'w' cause it interferes with the caption settings as 'w' is one of the default keyboard shortcut for youtube caption bg opacity toggling so it gets little annoying when using this extension using the keyboard.

It is almost perfect, the only thing missing is that it isnt automatic. You have each time to press W. It would be awesome to have the option to enable it to be automatic

Works perfect, I usually watch Youtube in a quarter window but it sucks because the comment section, recommended and search bar takes up so much space. Now I can just watch a video without all that nonsense.

Default shortcut for "w" is to change the transparency of subtitles backgrounds.
Cool idea but has one very annoying bug. Works fine in standard mode, but when activated in cinema mode, the screen goes black and when I scroll down I can see it switched me back to standard mode, so I have to click on windowed fullscreen again to make it work.

This one actually allows me to scroll down to the description, comments, etc. while it is toggled. It also didn't mess up Youtube's fullscreen mode, so I can still do the aforementioned scrolling. It's buttery smooth, and I love that the developer is communicating with users that have reviewed the extension. Excellent work! August 19th, 2023: As of now it has stopped working. Using this extension only toggle's Youtube's theatre mode.

It is the best clone of this feature that I have found by far. Will give 5 stars if you make it default itself like how theater mode defaults on if you've toggled it on previously, only defaulting off when you have manually toggled off

I'd wish there was a keyboard shortcut to toggle the fullscreen mode! Other than that it works really well. EDIT: nevermind, I forgot that we can add shortcuts in Chrome 🤗
