I LOVE this little ghost! After having tons of extensions like Protect my Choices, Google Opt Out, IBA opt out and of course the AV plug ins, I still get hammered by ads and those obnoxious trackers fill up everything. Once I found this extension and tried it? Gone. Love the interface on the side where I can edit settings for certain pages etc... I am happy with this extension, that I will upgrade from the free version to the paid one....to see what more it can do. As systems Engineer I spend a lot of time online-as such I am constantly in search engines and looking up troubleshooting issues on support sites and forums---and not always able to do so on a work laptop---as such those types of sites can slam you with garbage. Using this extension makes doing that work and everything else on the web so much cleaner. I even loaded it on the other PCs in the house that the family uses- so now they can browse free of garbage too Thank you for this!

I moved to a new Chromebook, and it took me a while to realise that I was getting annoying, mostly irrelevant ads at the top of my search results because I had not installed it. Although I have used it very rarely, whitelisting is still blocked by some sites. In that case, Ghostery can be paused. I like the informative emails.

• (2023-10-25) Sleepy Doge: Avoid this addon. I have no idea why it was even installed in my browser. Just look at all the information they collect. They advertise having an anti-tracker that blocks personal information from being taken yet they collect personal information as well as passwords and authentication for websites you visit? If you want privacy, install UBlock Origin and PrivacyBadger. Both of them pledge to not collect any personal information at all. How can chrome store allow what is essentially spyware, to be on their list of extensions? Dont take my word for it, go try googling the history of Ghostery.

• (2023-10-24) David A.C.: Loved this extension until recently when this error started to pop up on Amazon. Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT. Once I removed Ghostery from chrome the error went away. No amount of setting changes within Ghostery resolved the issue until I removed the extension completely.

I can publish my bank access details on the internet, leave my car unlocked and leave my apartment door open when I go on holiday. Uninstalled and gone.

This extension calls back to its own data collection domain "collector-hpn.ghostery.net" hundreds of times a day and multiple times per minute according to Pi-hole. Stick with uBlock. • (2023-09-07) Rachasan Wagner: Es blockiert Downloads die man gezielt haben möchte, Widows 7 Ultimate wäre dazu zu sagen, auf Windows 10 noch nicht ausprobiert und auch deswegen keine Motivation auf Experimente. Ich kann AdGuard empfehlen(5 Sterne von mir), keine Probleme mehr mit YT und bietet andere Überaschungen (wer sich auskennt weiß was ich meine ;-))

That's not really privacy if they collect all your *sensitive* information 🤦‍♂‍ Ghostery collects: "Personally identifiable information For example: name, address, email address, age, or identification number Authentication information For example: passwords, credentials, security question, or personal identification number (PIN) Location For example: region, IP address, GPS coordinates, or information about things near the user’s device" There is absolutely NO reason any extension especially an ad blocker needs to collect any authentication information! There is no good reason why any of this information needs to be collected really. This makes me uncomfortable using this extension and I will remove it.

Add ( Remove Overlay ) Feature , because Overlays are very annoying. They often suddenly appear & cover a part of your screen , not allowing you access the button or link behind the Overlay. Also try to improve the Coding of your extension if possible to make it light weight and work faster. Plus keep a Backup of your Extension before introducing New Update so that in case of any problems faced by the User , you ( The Developer ) can Roll Back your Extension. Keep Doing the Good Work ...!
