ProWritingAid: Grammar Checker & Paraphrasing Tool

I love their apps, and the extension works well but I DESPISE the floating button. No matter where I try putting the button it inevitably ends up in front of something I need to interact with. Please get rid of the floating button and move those functions into extension button on the toolbar like almost every other extension so it isn't causing me so many problems!

Paid for premium a while back. The browser extensions dramatically slow down every browser I try them on (3 so far). Completely unusable and annoyingly intrusive. Disabled it, and a simple Google Search goes from 3 seconds down to 0.5. Turned it on again, and back up to 3-4 seconds. I only have 6 total extensions installed. Slows down other sites too. Choose any free AI tool over this.

ProWritingAid is very useful for aspiring writers. It helps with grammar and spelling, understanding style, sentence length and structure, readability, etc., and learn from it. Other writing tools can be used while using this writing tool too. It can instantly correct errors and provide feedback. Though it is not so convenient that the free option only provides up to 500 words. Also, if there is a learning or practice on "how to reduce glue index with practice," it may come handy. Also, I'm upset that it does not provide other English dialects like Indian English. Sometimes, the feedback can be a bit overwhelming. Overall, it's worth to have this extension but buy the subscription for proper full access.

It's a great extension; I love it. But, I can't keep the sidebar thing on my screen at all times, which means I won't have any grammar suggestions of fixes without it on the screen.

I love that I can edit while I'm writing. It's actually taught me a lot about grammar and not to use those "filler" words. I use it every time I write.

Just love how easily integrated this app is with all my writing apps. The editing is very helpful and so far have found it to be very effective.

I have decided to give this a try to use for writing a fiction novel. It is a little buggy however the reports and ease of use make it worth while. I am particularly looking forward to running the full reports on the who manuscript. I would recommend. I have used paid Grammerly in the past and I prefer this and link the browser extensions I use Google Docs.

Just started using it but it is super nice to have a grammar checker right there on the page without having to download your manuscript and run it through an external program.

I am a published author. With the help of ProWriting Aid, I do not have to pay to have a person edit my writing. This tool does everything and anything a professional editor would do and I don't know what I would do with it!!

Very basic and very buggy. Can get the same insights they are tagging with "new" and "AI" by using chatgpt for free. I would not pay for this, but would use the free version. (It was better before they added the floating menu, which in Google docs makes it unusable as it's so disruptive.)

Price? Very reasonable. Convenience, extremely convient. I have access to it no matter where I go. Is it perfect? No such thing exist. You need a human for that, but... they aren't perfect either. It catches alot! It helps with my writing, giving me options on other ways of saying something. Spelling off? Yeah, it takes care of that too. Yes, I have MS Word, I also purchased Scrivener at Literature&Latte - I haven't looked back. ProWritingAid helps with many writing tools. I use it with LivingWriter - what a winning pair!

I've been using ProWritingAid for a couple of years. It's very helpful, well worth the cost. I recently downloaded the chrome extension and it's working just fine.

I have been using this for several days and considering to upgrade to premium. Excellent writing tool - mostly if you are in creative writing.

ProWritingAid is the best tool I have in my arsenal! PWA combines several other apps so there is no need for them, thus saving me money in the long run. I highly recommend PWA. ________________________________________

On the Mac it doesn't do so well as I'd like. I need to constantly refresh the app by going through unnecessary steps of turning on and off settings, reloading and rebooting. It's a pain in the yk where. It performs better than Grammarly once it performs.

Really solid edits, but when a word is misspelled the words it thinks it is are often very far off, very good anyways.

Great, especially when combined with another similar app to ensure you never miss anything. I love that you can set your own rules for your writing and change the way it rates what you write based on what type it is (web, business, etc.) Definitely can't go without it now that I've seen how great it is. It has never given any issues or caused my laptop to slow down or anything like that.

It is a great program to use when you write every day. It is especially excellent for busy professionals, especially since it checks all the grammar and mistakes and makes suggestions for you to use. T

If you are a writer of any kind even a college student. This is the app for you. One thing to understand is that "Pro writing aid" is just that it is an aid to help you with whatever you are writing. My best experience is using Pro writing aid with google Chrome.

The a[[ helps me in so mant ways! For example, I often work in dim light, and corrections are breeze with ProWritingAid. Carl Macku

Excellent App

I am very impressed with using Manuscript Analysis to edit my novels. I have used it to review three of my novels so far, all of them in Spanish. I got comprehensive reviews covering plot, characters and settings, with lots of actionable advice. It's hard to fight the impression that a real person read my novels and understood them!

It's a useful and productive App.
