С помощью этого расширения вы можете проверить текст, используя свободную программу для проверки грамматики и стиля LanguageTool. LanguageTool находит много ошибок, которые не удаётся обнаружить при обычной проверке орфографии, например повтор слов, использование слов «одеть» или «надеть», и он может обнаружить некоторые проблемы в грамматике и стиле. - (2025-09-10) I had the paid version for two-years and used it mainly for email and Twitter. It let too many grammar errors go by, even if the sentence made no sense, so I decided not to renew it. Even for this simple review, I caught two errors that the extension didn't catch.

- (2025-08-29) This extension claims to have support for Norwegian, but it lacks the most basic words and is completely useless. It is also unable to auto-detect Norwegian if I have Norwegian and English selected as my preferred languages. Uninstalling immediately.

Here's my review from my experience with Grammarly to sum it up: Grammarly is great if you want to a non-stop BUY PREMIUM pop-up in front of your face every time you make a mistake or even regular sentences in general that it thinks could be better. The free version is so incredibly annoying, unintelligent, and unhelpful, it did the opposite of make me want to pay for an upgrade and felt more like a virus than an extension. I tried the LanguageTool extension instead; INSTANTLY more helpful, less invasive, calmer colors, and no pressure to upgrade. They just provide a decent tool/service for free and offer better features for a price, totally fair, but they don't shove the offer your face more than they provide the tool/service!

- (2025-08-05) Fantastic grammar tool. I interested in the AI bits for the most part, but the extension itself does everything I want it to. It works seamlessly with just about every website and text box on Chrome. Except for this text box in the Chrome web store, ironically!

- (2025-07-07) It's good, a little slower as compared to it's alternative. But it's core is open-source, it consumes lesser resources and it doesn't require an account to start using it. You may require to login to unlock more features. Also, there are less number of applications supported as of now, and I believe they'll soon resolve it. And few more good things are, the date is not shared outside our system, and we can select and deselect in which applications we want it to be ON. I request the developers to keep up the good work, and please add more applications to support, and bring faster updates.
