Updates the standard favicon on Salesforce tabs with colored versions to help differentiate between different organizations.
Supports both Classic and Lightning Experiences and includes separate icons for production, sandbox, and develop/scratch orgs.
To use the extension, simply navigate to a Salesforce org and the extension will automatically select a random color for it then update the favicon with that color. Now every time you visit that org, the colored favicon will be displayed instead of the default Salesforce favicon. At this point you can also visit the options page to change the color for any org you've visited.

- (2023-11-10) Chad Rogers: This extension is a great help when having multiple environments open at the same time! I recommend this tool for anyone else using Salesforce.
- (2023-10-18) Anthony Pica: In our quest for digital efficiency, it is sometimes the small details that make a big difference. I'm grateful, then, not just for this extension, but for the reminder of the importance of life's intricate details. Thank you for developing this helpful tool.
- (2023-09-15) Anne Nuguid: This is a must-have for me!
- (2023-06-01) Max Wunderlich: This extension is a lifesaver if you work in multiple SF orgs on a daily basis, including sandboxes of a single org. It's simple, functional, and even actively maintained by the developer. 👍
- (2022-12-03) Katharine Fairchild: As an admin who is constantly going back and forth between Production and sandboxes for testing, this has been game changing. I've only had this extension a week and already I have seen the benefits during a recent project where I'm jumping between doing some testing in a sandbox, back to Production for regular follow up/management. Simple and super brilliant. It wasn't clear at first how to actually make update the designated colors. I didn't see any clear instructions on the store, either (go to the extension, then click Extension Options, click the color of the org, update and make sure you click SAVE).
- (2022-10-17) Ellie Breden: An excellent extension, simple to use and effective. If the publisher ever considered creating an ISO 27001 compliant version I'd happily pay to use it for professional purposes, as I'm sure would many others! Really great extension, much appreciation to the publisher for filling a gap left by Salesforce not providing an option to customise site favicons. - (2022-10-05) Grant Johnson: I agree with the recent comments. It was great until it recently started requiring permissions to to read/change data.
- (2022-10-05) John Collins: I had to disable this extension because of the sudden change to allow reading of data for visited websites. Hopefully, the developer will revert this.
- (2022-10-03) Andi Simons: I loved this extension, until it started requiring access to read and change my data on all salesforce sites. I have a regulatory obligation to protect that data, so now I'm stuck removing this extension and finding another way to deal with keeping my orgs straight. Please take that permission away again - this has worked so well without it for so long!
- (2022-07-21) Dan Seminario: I am not able to use this. Options are empty when on a salesforce tab
- (2022-05-25) Hey, I love this! I've used it for years and recommended it to anyone else who's a SFDC admin / dev as an essential tool. I admittedly did come here just to let the dev know that the new URL format SFDC launched broke the extension for sites (X.secure.force.com or X--testing.sandbox.my.salesforce-sites.com)
- (2022-03-17) Laurie Hanlon: Love this extension. AS a consultant I work in multiple SF orgs and being able to easily differentiate which org is which by the color of the tab is a huge time saver, and avoids accidentally doing something in the wrong org. Highly recommend this extension!
- (2022-03-17) Benjamin Bratcher: Very useful extension to help differentiate the Salesforce environments you are logged into. It changes the color of the Salesforce logo on the tab. Great work! Thank you, Steve!
- (2022-03-16) Thais Pedroso: Best extension for Salesforce users! I recommend it to everyone I work with, as it's definitely a must have!
- (2022-03-10) Muse Operations: Helpful for organization purposes. I kinda wish it stored my settings to the cloud so they would sync across machines
- (2021-12-17) Michael Campbell: This is a no brainer extension to download! If you are operating in sandboxes, trailhead activities, or doing consulting work, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. It keeps everything organized and ensures all your tabs are easy to navigate.
- (2021-12-02) Jon Pearson: This extension is so useful when working in multiple organizations but needs updating. A recent Salesforc change resulting in refreshed sandboxes all have the same {org--sandbox}.sandbox.lightning.force.com meaning that all sandboxes are appearing with the same color. This extension was updated within a week to handle this change. Thanks Steve for keeping this extension useful.
- (2021-10-04) Jake Bullard: Just PERFECT! Literally it could not be any better. Such a simple and excellent extension. Thank you Steven!
- (2021-07-30) Rachel Sinex: I'm not typically one to write reviews, but this extension is so great I felt I needed to. This has drastically improved my efficiency when working in multiple salesforce instances simultaneously, which is something I do with regularity. Thank you so much for developing this and making it available to the world!
- (2021-05-17) Natalie Foley: Very useful, simple and straightforward
- (2021-05-11) Manas: There should be a way to add a url if it doesn't detect automatically, like prod communities
- (2021-02-18) Jake Bullard: Game changer!
- (2021-01-15) rohit budhiraja: It was working fine for me till the time I removed the last color (duh! I don't know why I did it). Can you help me add it back?
- (2020-10-13) Lucia Harris: It seems like a great tool, each time I open an instance I receive a different color favicon. I'd love to set specific colors, however when I click on "Options" there is only a "Save" button. I don't see how to add a specific color per environment. Can someone give explicit steps please?
- (2020-09-22) Kaily Rasmussen: I've used this previously and I loved it, however, now I can't change my prod color to any shade of blue. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix?
- (2020-09-22) Jodie Miners: I have loved this extension for a long time but the little enhancement of showing DX for scratch orgs is also great!
- (2020-08-07) Anant Mahajan: i choose Red for my PROD orgs so that i am sure which org i am working on. Really Cool.
- (2020-07-09) Claire Jones: This extension is so useful as it allows me to keep track of which tabs are for which org / Sandbox. Knocked a star off though, as occasionally it resets all the colours I've deliberately set back to its defaults.
- (2020-01-31) Krishna Bidwai: This extension is really helpful for the developer to avoid unwanted tab opening. I want to know if I can configure it. example: production - keep it default blue color sandbox: grren. In short, control over the colors for different environment?
- (2019-12-10) Adam Cadman: I regularly have 3 or more SF Orgs open - this app saves so much time in looking for an open tab for a particular Org
- (2019-07-29) Cynthia Davis: This seems like a great idea but it doesn't work. The options page doesn't allow me to add instance and a color, I just see blank columns and a save button.
- (2019-05-28) Marcin Jaszczuk: This saves me from the eye pain of straining to see the URL and allows me to be more accurate/efficient. This is a brilliant tool. Thank you for giving this to the world.
- (2019-05-13) Evgenii Azimzhanov: Could you post the source code of the extension to github? So we can contribute and fix bugs
- (2019-04-11) Chris Farace`: This extension was a 5 star for me, however now it doesn't seem to work with the new release. Instead of the singular cloud that was overwritten by this extension, SFDC now has a blue square with a white cloud for every tab and so this extension no longer works. Please fix, this extension was my top 3, it made managing multiple environments so easy!!
- (2019-03-31) This is very useful
- (2019-02-19) Awesome extension. Makes life easier working with different environment
- (2019-01-24) Kushal Bhalodiya: It was working few weeks back but now it is not working.
- (2018-12-18) Elvin Wilmer: Excellent and simple extension. I am a Salesforce Administrator and I work in multiple orgs. This app helps to keep me on track.
- (2018-10-18) Jordan Farmer: I work in many different orgs, and even more sandboxes...this tool is a game changer for me and my users!!
- (2018-05-18) Sha Syed: Great Job Bro... small feature but great impact.
- (2018-04-24) Lauren Kamrad: Best app on the market, hands down. Great job Steve.
- (2018-01-31) LaRonda DeMatteis: I really appreciate the ability to indicate my different salesforce session logins between my orgs.
- (2017-05-21) Rune Waage: a "must-have" extension for all Salesforce developers and other people logged into several sandboxes at the same time.
- (2017-04-17) Joey Len: Does exactly what it says it will do.
- (2017-04-03) John Hutchinson: Brilliant little extension! Perfect for developers who work on loads of different Salesforce orgs and have multiple tabs open at a time.
- (2017-01-12) Z2: You are my life saver ! Could you add more? for example, documentation for apex etc.
- (2016-12-10) Mark Bolton: I love this extension. It is one that I rely on heavily and therefore in my priority toolkit. As a Salesforce Admin, I will often have at least two if not three (or more) orgs open at once - Production to support our users during the day and either a Sandbox or DE org (sometimes both) and having an easy way to differentiate the orgs at a glance by color is simply brilliant. It is a little glitchy from time to time, coloring the icon incorrectly, but a simple page refresh always resolves that. Thanks for creating this!
- (2016-11-24) Michael Paisner: So simple, but so useful!
- (2016-11-21) Adam Trzcinski: very useful
- (2016-09-15) Allyson Clark: So helpful!
