  • (2020-02-07) William Baum: This extension has two major flaws. Internally it uses http:// instead of https:// for its connections to myfitnesspal.com and foodfastfit.com, which is insecure. You can no longer just click on the shield icon. To allow it to work, you now have to go into settings -> Privacy and Security -> Insecure Content (chrome://settings/content/insecureContent) and add [*.]myfitnesspal.com to "Allow". The other major problem is that special characters are not properly encoded, so that Entries like 'Body Fat %' cannot be included in the download. I actually patched and published an update to this extension that fixes these problems, but Google rejected it. If you'd like to try it, download https://github.com/wmbaum/myfitnesspalExporter and add it to Chrome as an unpacked extension. You'l have to enable developer mode to have that option.
  • (2020-01-22) Tom Michel: I finally got it to work by going to the going into the settings on Chrome, into Advanced, into Privacy and security, under the specific page for myfitnesspal. At the bottom of the page Change the default for blocking Insecure content for the myfitnesspal site only. I was only able to get data for 30 days.
  • (2019-12-30) Paul: 2019-12-29 - It looks like you can't retrieve more than 75 days of data. I believe this limit is being imposed on the server side. Also, as others have pointed out, you have to allow the unsafe script (click shield icon in address bar).
  • (2019-12-18) Melik YĆ¼ksel: Doesn't work as of December 2019. Just says "Exporting..." forever. EDIT: Never mind. Like the other review said, it was Chrome blocking. I just clicked the little shield on the URL bar that appeared whenever I pressed "Export", allowed the script, and it worked.
  • (2019-12-16) Luis Eduardo Pilar Santos: It is not working here anymore. OSX Mojave 12-2019
  • (2019-10-30) Youness Zarhouni: Didn't work for me (Oct.30, 2019)
  • (2019-08-20) Hannah Rose: Hi, does anyone know how to export my weight records? Also, have any of you been able to successfully export your progress photos? Thank you!
  • (2018-05-07) William Baum: Works as of today (2018-05-07), though Chrome seems to have changed the default for loading scripts from unauthenticated sources. Click the little shield icon in the address bar and click "Load unsafe scripts". Reload the MFP reports page, and then click the various options in "Export your data".
  • (2018-05-05) John Black: Doesn't do anything (May 2018)
  • (2018-02-27) Kelly Atkinson: Doesn't do anything once it is installed. Just keeps taking me back to the Chrome web store page. Total usability failure.
  • (2017-10-19) Jonathan Wienclaw: Broken as of October 2017
  • (2017-06-24) Joe Gallagher: Worked like a charm, saved me a lot of time writing something to extract the data myself and from having to upgrade to MFP premium.
  • (2016-06-16) Meredith Morrow: This is such a good extension to get tons more out of MFP without upgrading to premium. I've had this extension for a year and have never had any problems with it. 5 stars!
  • (2015-11-28) I've been wanting a way to get my data out of MyFitnessPal for quite a while and stumbled across this extension this morning. Works great!
  • (2015-08-21) Andrew Roberts: Saves a bit of time, but not perfect, as It duplicates the last recorded value for days when no value has been recorded, so if you record a weight once a week you'll have the same weight recorded for each day till the next entry. By default it will only go back one calendar year (365 days), you can increase this value in the settings, but the export of calories may just hang, showing "Exporting..."
  • (2015-01-07) Andy Straw: Wonderful. Just what I was looking for and easy to use - doesn't require making diary public and gets to the shared bits of my fitbit I wanted to export but couldn't without a premium account. Well done!
  • (2014-09-09) Steve Craig: It just worked, very useful.
  • (2014-08-06) Jiri Kulik: Great. It's a shame the same charts are not available directly on the mfp.
  • (2014-05-30) Glen McHale: useful
  • (2014-05-07) Abdul Sultan: Very nice extension and very functional.
  • (2014-02-21) Giovanni Rossi: really great extension, love it!
  • (2014-01-29) JaBaine: great video tutorial this will be handy
  • (2014-01-25) Damon Brent: nice
  • (2014-01-08) Sean Weeks: This is so great! It would be awesome if it could source sleep data from UP to help find correlations with sleep too.
