- (2025-07-29) 5/5? More like 10/10. If you hate the regular YT controls and NEED more, or just simply want a better and more open experience, get this addon. It's exactly like YouTube Enhancer that I had back in the day when I had FireFox, this addon SLAPS. I SOOOOOOOOOO MISSED THE VIDEO SPEED THINGY!!! I love the fact I can hover over the icon, use my mousewheel, and change the playback speed by whatever I choose it to be. ALSO YOU CAN GO ABOVE 2x SPEED FOLKS!!! YEAH!!! You can SKIP that BS yapping session that was in the stream you missed, and get right to where you wanna be without skipping too far ahead. By FAR my most favorite feature. ALSO I love that you can use the video filters thing live.
- (2025-07-28) it seems kinda overwhelming with all of these variety of settings, but I see that you've got an infinite potential, given that YouTube is trying to liquid (gl)assify the whole dang youtube player with oversized buttons and a volume slider turnt sideways.

- (2025-07-26) Amazing extension that fixes the large thumbnail view that youtube is pushing on users. To fix: -Install ext. -Go into settings and adjust: Appearance > Videos per row: "x" to your desired amount

EDIT (2025-07-25): I'm hoping Maxime can get those of us that have been hit with YouTube's new giant bubble interface monstrosity back to some semblance of normality soon.

- (2025-07-20) Many things in this extension have been disabled successfully by YouTube with the developers sleeping this fact out. No doubt, this app was the pioneer and I have been using this for nearly 20 plus years on my other YouTube account, but now there are other good apps which really do what they say....for instance... blocking shorts (most important) and other unwanted junk. This app now fails to do it. So with a sorry heart ...I have switched to a different app

- (2025-07-19) This is awesome. I've been using this for years now. The only feature I wish it had (and I don't even know if is possible) is to disable YouTube from translating video titles and using AI generated audio tracks by default based on my language preferences. I'm from Brazil, but my computer is set in English, it is extremely annoying when I click on a Brazilian content creator video and its title is in English (and as it's a literal translation sometimes it doesn't make any sense...) or worse, it starts playing with an awful AI generated english dubbed audio track, when I just want to hear the default audio.

- (2025-07-16) Great extension. But I have a suggestion for new feature. Could you do something to disable automatic translations of video titles and descriptions. It's very annoying that youtube forces us to display content only in local language.

- (2025-07-12) Thanks for this great extension! But please add the below feature to the autoplay. I think that will make the autoplay experience whole lot better. Similar to the "Pause videos playing in background tabs when a video starts playing in the foreground tab" option, we need an option to "Resume video playing in foreground tab which was previously auto paused when another video in foreground tab was played." In the current version, coming back to a foreground tab which was auto paused earlier doesn't autoplay so we have to manually press play each time.
- (2025-07-12) It works really well for everything I use it for. The only issue I have with it is the Volume Booster not always enabling properly. This used be to a rare problem when I first started using the extension, but now it's almost every video. It won't enable properly in the background. I assume it's some kind of race condition where some service isn't being started up properly or something. I say this because the icon says it's enabled, but after clicking it twice - off and on- nothing appears to happen. The only fix, albeit temporary, is refreshing the video
- (2025-07-11) 1) Youtube video player UI got updated. This extension adds a picture in picture button on the video player which is misaligned. There is no option to disable it in settings. 2) There is no full reset button anywhere. Removed for now until its fixed. Otherwise its a great extension for low end devices as well.

- (2025-07-06) This extension should have additional category "Wellbeing" as that tool keeps me sane. It was driving me crazy that I couldn't set up global playback preferences on YT. It is a MUST HAVE extension - clean, simple, robust and actually FREE (no ads, sign ins, cards, spam etc)
- (2025-07-05) Missing some sanity features such as when you get a video opened in the foreground, and it pauses the background video, then you close the tab and focus on the previous background video, it should allow auto resume for a more seamless experience where the video will be resumed. Yes, this should be a toggle.
