Microsoft Single Sign On
Extension Actions
- Live on Store
Sign in to supported websites with your Microsoft work or school accounts on Windows and macOS platforms.
Use this extension to sign in to supported websites with Microsoft work or school accounts on Windows (10 and later versions) or macOS (11 and later versions). If you have a Microsoft Entra ID on your Windows or macOS computer, this extension enables improved Single Sign On for supported websites. You may still see additional authentication prompts like multi-factor verification depending on the access requirements for various applications, resources, and organizations.
This extension is required for certain device-based conditional access policies for Microsoft Entra ID. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/conditional-access/concept-conditional-access-conditions#supported-browsers
For macOS, this extension requires the device to be managed and requires the additional installation of Company Portal: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-your-device-in-intune-macos-cp
Note: If you are experiencing difficulties with signing in or accessing resources, it could be related to your organization’s device policies. Please submit a support ticket directly to Microsoft through your tenant’s subscription. The developer email address for the extension is not an avenue for customer support.

- We need this extension to allow IT admins to use Chrome to access MS admin portals with admin accounts, not with our non-admin work account. This is due to conditional access policies. This thing is not designed great for logging in with a different account than the one you are signed in to Windows with. Every time the sign-in token for the admin account expires in Entra ID, if I close the browser, next time I go to an admin portal, it automatically logs me in with my non-admin user account that I am signed into Windows with, without prompt to choose the account I want to log in the portal with. Often when I hit "sign in with a different account" or "switch account" or "sign out", the log in option proposed only include the work account signed in to Windows and I have to refresh or press back or fill in manually my admin account when it should already be listed as an option. This is not an issue with our conditional access policies, neither is it an issue with our Tennant or our user accounts. It's an issue with the extension's design. When logging in to multiple admin portals on a daily basis, this is a very frustrating waste of time. We don't have these issues with Firefox, but for personal preferences and practical reasons, I prefer Chrome. That said, if this extension doesn't improve soon, I will seriously consider using Firefox for all admin tasks.

- This is the worst SSO extension in history. It doesn't work half of the time, and when it does, you usually have to log in multiple times. I bet most of the users were forced to install this by some inept IT manager who decided it was a great idea to waste people's time on fighting defective login procedures by doing it "the Microsoft way". Well done for thinking inside the box, like every other IT manager whose job can be replaced by a one-liner AI prompt. Killing your company's productivity by making sure everyone's work is dependent a company who couldn't care less about you, I guess that's just a bonus!

- An abomination. Perhaps created by Microsoft to punish people who don't want to use Edge. Perhaps it is not deliberate, and it is simply created by Microsoft to their own standards, and this is just what we get.
- Brian Gilner
- It's not single-sign on, it is triple or quadruple sign on every single day. It's the worst SSO experience across all vendors. It is installed, yet always displays messages telling me to install it.

- 3 Stars because the extension works perfectly fine. -2 Stars because every couple of days, my outlook will tell me that i don't have this extension whatsoever and send me to this page, where I can see that it is indeed downloaded. Not sure what the fix is for this on your end, but it's extremely frustrating when I need to quickly log into my email.
