StyleURL lets you export and share CSS tweaks instantly.
StyleURL is the easiest way for developers & designers to collaborate on CSS changes.
Export CSS changes from Chrome automatically
- As you make changes to styles from inside of Chrome, StyleURL will let you download to disk and export your changes to a GitHub Gist
- No need to copy + paste for every element's style you changed: StyleURL grabs all of them for you automatically – regardless if it's from an inline style, an existing stylesheet, or a new stylesheet you added manually
- Behind the scenes, StyleURL uses a powerful AST to intelligently create a diff of only the styles you changed, while ignoring things like minified CSS, whitespace, and unrelated changes to styles on the page
Save CSS tweaks to Gist on GitHub
- Export changes you make to CSS to a Gist on GitHub, so that people you're working with or helping out can see the changes too
Preview CSS tweaks via link
- StyleURL lets you give it a Gist from GitHub, and apply your CSS changes to a page. This means you can tinker around in Chrome and other people can try out your changes immediately.
Note: This product has no affiliation with GitHub, we just think GitHub Gists are great and use their API.

- (2018-08-01) Florian Groh: omg omg omg. i can't believe this finally exists. I always edit my code in devtools and mostly lose track of what I did exactly. this is exactly what I need. I don't care so much about the sharing capabilities but I love it for my own projects!
- (2018-07-30) Matt Voska: This is such a great idea! Really looking forward to using this when doing front end dev work.

The site/app is down? :( - (2018-08-30, v:1.1.15) Helen Johnston: Can it be disabled per page?
I'm working on a page where I'm trying to stick an image to the bottom of the screen. StyleURL adds spacing to the bottom of the screen that stays even when I close it so it's hard to see if my code is working. Is there a way to disable it for a specific page? I don't want to disable the plugin completely because it's super useful normally. - (2018-08-21, v:1.1.15) Philip Ingram: Closing the bottom style bar leaves div in place
I work with some web pages that have UI controls towards the bottom of the page, i.e. like an admin bar, one of which is a "save" button, but the fixed StyleURL bar covers this up. Clicking the option to close the StyleURL bar removes the visibility of the bar and I can see the underlying admin bar my CMS web page provides however you cannot click any of them. Choose to inspect the area I can see the tag with an id of "__styleurl_create_styleurl_shadowdom" and has a css rule of "pointer-events: none" which makes clicking on the underlying web page impossible. Deleting this element in the inspector fixes this as a temporary solution.
