Description from store

Save CSS is a Chrome extension that speeds up your web UI development workflow
by automatically saving your CSS and Javascript modifications in Chrome
Developer Tools into the local disk. Eliminate manual copying and pasting of
CSS values from Developer Tools to source files and install this extension.

This extension requires an external script that is written in Python or Ruby. Pick one of them:

Get the python script from: https://raw.github.com/tomimick/chrome-ext-save-css/master/servers/server.py

Alternatively, get the Ruby script from: https://raw.github.com/tomimick/chrome-ext-save-css/master/servers/server.rb

See usage and technical information in author's blog in http://tomicloud.com/2012/04/save-css-chrome-ext

I have the same problem than Moss Doerksen, and I found out that the optional auto-save is not optional. It ALWAYS saves the files, so I have the file open in DreamWeaver too, and it gets overriden as soon as I the extension "considers" the style sheet was modified (sometimes I haven't even changed it! ) The worst part is DreamWeaver automatically updates the open file (i hope I can change that from preferences) so I just found out why I was losing changes so often: Dreamweaver was updating silently, more often than I thought. Please make the auto-save able to be turned off.

One big problem. It causes you to lose changes to files when you manually edit them.

Tried a lot, it successfully take the path but doesn't update. Didn't work for me. Maybe I was wrong at some point in Mappings. I strongly suggest you to make some installer so everything is up and running from start. Mac OS Lion Chrome Version 28.0.1500.71

Amazing, great job... Once you realise how quick editing CSS and JS is this way, the process of prototyping and designing a website completely in the browser is just so fast and easy. Starting to really feel sorry for all the guys not using a tool like this and i've only been on it for about 30 minutes...

Worked PERFECTLY on Windows XP and the Ruby Server. I've Mapped an FTP folder as a local drive using NetDrive. Now it saves css and js DIRECTLY on the REMOTE SERVER TOO! You have to read a little to make ir work. But the result worthes. This plugin made me drop firebug away AND MADE MY LIFE A LOT EASIER...
