Image from store Salesforce Dependent Picklist Matrix Export
Description from store NOTE: Some users have reported that the extension does not work for them if they are using VPN or proxy. Please check if this is the case for you as well and try without VPN/proxy. Some users have reported that the exported file does not have complete data. In all these cases, the data is trimmed after a special character (for example '+' or any other character). I am not able to replicate this issue on my end so can not fix it. If you face similar issue and willing to spend time to resolve this with me, please contact by email. Support: You can support the app development here: https://buymeacoffee.com/maninders For any queries contact by email. Why you need this app? Salesforce does not provide any feature to extract the Dependent Picklist Matrix for analysis, comparison and reporting. This extension helps to export the dependency matrix as a CSV file and supports using "View All" for more than 5000 entries. Compatibility: - Supported in Classic - Supported in Lightning Demo : https://youtu.be/k0Q91yrtCeE Licence: This extension requires a paid license key subscription and offers a free 7-day free trial. Your card will be charged at the end of the free trial. You can cancel the subscription during this trial and you will not be charged. This app was free for use for more than 3 years. To compensate for the effort required to keep this app working we have set up paid licence with minimal cost and a free trial. Steps to use: - Install the Extension - Set the Salesforce logged in user language to English. - Go to the Edit/View page of the Dependent Picklist, where the picklist values are included/excluded based on the Parent value. - You will see option to purchase a licence on this screen. - Once you have purchased the licence, right click the extension icon to the right of the Chrome address bar and select "Options". Enter the Subscription License Key and click "Save". - You will have to refresh the picklist matrix page for the update to take effect. Now you can use the extension. - Ensure you are on the first page of the matrix. - Click the Green "Export Matrix" button. This button is added by this extension to the page only if you have a valid licence. - The CSV file will be downloaded automatically with name "<Controlling field Label>-<Dependent Field Label>". The file has a header row with first column as Parent Field and second column as Child Field. - The csv data is also copied to the clipboard. - Characters like > are represented as > and similarly for other special characters. For View All feature (Tested for 300 x 1000 matrix which is the max you can create): - Click on the "View All" button to see all the values on single page. - Be patient for the page to load. It can take some time if the matrix is large. - If you get page not responsive alert click on "Wait" to continue processing. Do this as many times as you get alert. Without using this extension when you click "View All" you will receive error "The table has over 5,000 entries. "View All" is disabled." if there are more than 5000 entries. NOTE: Tested to work when user language is set to English. Giving your valuable review and rating will be an appreciation token to the developer. 17/03/2023 (v0.8) - The csv file now contains all values of the matrix with INCLUDED/EXCLUDED flag for each v0.0.6: - Fixed bugs, modified UI and added Licensing v 0.0.4: - Added support for "View All" for more than 5000 entries. v 0.0.2: - bug fixes

• (2021-05-26) Nathan Graber: This is a great tool for exporting dependent picklists. As indicated in the description, I did have to disable my VPN to get this to work. I would love a feature to be able to export this data based on record type as well. Basically, from the field dependency screen, if you click Preview, you can filter by record type, and it would be very helpful to be able to export the field dependencies after being filtered for the record type. As-is this is still great and a big time saver.

• (2022-01-31, v:0.0.4) Rob Kirchner: Is there a way to export a chain of dependent picklists?
For example, Picklist 1 drives choices on Picklist 2 . Picklist 2 then drives choices on Picklist 3, etc. I can kind of work it out manually via two separate exports But its pretty manual and still requires me to double check everything. It'd be great if there's a way to start at the 1st controlling field and work out all the possible "paths" depending on picklist choices.
• (2021-09-07, v:0.0.4) Santiago Torres: It is not working
Hi, The extension is not working. I am not connected to VPN or anything, regular Wifi. The export is not working and it does not dowload any file.

When i try to export picklist matrix it is only returning a fraction of the dependency I was able to get one dependency to work but the others only give me a small fraction of the results. Where there should be several hundred lines I am only returning 10-15 in Excel

• (2020-08-07, v:0.0.4) venkat k: is it possible to increase controlling picklist value fields to 500
Hi Maninder, I really liked this Plug-in, installed extension and starting using. we have a situation where there are more than 500 Picklist values to one of the controlling field where i want to download CSV and identify those controlling fields where no dependent assigned. But , plug in is not supporting to download for more than 300 controlling field columns. is that something you can increase that to 500 ?
• (2020-07-29, v:0.0.4) Ritu Aggarwal: List cutting off during export
First off, this Dependent list extraction is great - saves a lot of time! Thank you! I'm having an issue with one specific dependent list, and my hunch is because of a special character in the picklist value. The value has a "#", so the extraction stops right before it runs into that character. Is that correct? If yes, please advise if there are any other known charters that cause an issue for this extension. Are you able to add this to a safe list of characters? (Sorry I'm non-IT and limited on code knowledge.)
• (2020-05-04, v:0.0.4) Bonnie Neuhardt: Extension loaded but doesn't show up list when you right click
