• (2023-04-29) Steffi Kaizun (Skaizun): Seems to work, but, many of the bookmarks it cited, as being "bad" or defunct, do exist and are "okay." And, when I delete a marked bookmark that is genuinely bad/defunct, it does not display a warning (e.g., "Are you sure you want to delete 'such-and-such' bookmark?"); some may consider that a time-saver, but, accidents happen; at least, make it an option. I like that you can "hide" "good" bookmarks, so that only the alleged "bad" ones are seen, which makes it much easier to scroll through and verify by hand. Some websites that are marked as "bad," simply moved the given page to another location on their site (a frequent problem; webmasters should leave the page with a "redirect" so that apps like this and users don't think the content is gone altogether); certainly not this app's fault. Also, I didn't realize that I shouldn't have had the Chrome bookmarks manager open, though, in hindsight, it makes sense not to have it open while another program (i.e, this app) is accessing it (I wanted to update some links). Now, I don't know whether my hours long search and "approved" deletions through the alleged bad/defect bookmarks were saved or not! (i.e., I have to start all over again!) All-in-all, it worked, with the aforementioned caveats and cautions, especially, not to delete all the alleged bad/defunct bookmarks without checking them, manually!
• (2023-04-14) Neal Wiser: Doesn't work. It tried. It displayed the structure of a page that looked like it wanted to check the URLs and display some kind of results, but it crashed. Then it keep on crashing. Too bad.

I removed it and then re-added the extension, it loaded and then promptly disappeared from the extension bar and I can't get at it to use it. I'll have to find something else to do this task
• (2023-01-02) Superhiway: Took 25 years to acquire 45k+ useless BM's. But this handy little add-on app really helped me weed out the useless ones. Well they're all useless really... It worked well, systematically checking the viability of each URL inside my Yyuuggee BM archived mess. When it came upon a cluster of Google URLs, Google promptly recognized me as a global threat and flipped the switch off, just refused to cooperate unless I completed a "Captcha" for each inquiry. So I waited for my IP to come off of the brown-list and started again. Now it doesn't load at all. Just says "Install our NEW APP". Don't need all that, but TY anyway.

Расширение красивое. Шрифт красивый, отступы в норме, управление закладками интуитивно понятное. Видно что автор приложил силы не только к его функционалу, но к его внешнему виду p.s. Плотно поработал с расширением. Подумал что неплохо в расширении смотрелись следующие дополнения: - возможность установки на ссылке пометки "принудительно рабочая" с соответствующим значком. Например страница по адресу https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions (здесь дополнения Chrome) определяется как нерабочая страница, хотя она рабочая и грузится нормально. Было бы удобным поставить специальную пометку (значок отличный от других) чтобы ссылка не проверялась, а по умолчанию считалась рабочей. И дополнительную кнопку, чтобы отослать ссылку автору, чтобы автор разобрался почему идет ложное срабатывание. - - возможность более удобного выбора дубликатов ссылок. Когда у тебя в браузере под тысячу ссылок, в соседнем браузере столько же, а тебе нужно найти и добавить отличающиеся ссылки, то не помешала бы возможность искать не только общие ссылки, но и те, которые находятся только в одном браузере

• (2022-09-16) Curtis Anderson: Overall a good job by the dev. It does the basic job of scanning for timeouts/dead links and you can delete them in bulk. However, the interface is not very intuitive and doesn't seem to follow best practices when it comes to icons and actions. As someone else mentioned, you can scan for duplicates, but then you are forced to manually remove them one at a time. It would be nice to be able to delete empty folders as well, which I bet the dev could figure out :) I think with some UI improvements and tweaking the interactions, while adding some functionality like enabling bulk deleting of duplicates, this would be a 5-star extension (assuming no bugs show up). I added this, ran it, deleted dups, and uninstalled with no issues other than the above mentioned limitations.
• (2022-09-03) Mysticlady Connie Greco: Wouldn't even load. Kept saying 'out of memory' so I had Task Mgr running and tried to open it again. I was only using 28% memory when I clicked to open the extension. It still wouldn't load. Horrible!

  Hello first of thanks for a great little extension which has been very helpful, yes it does take a large memory footprint if you have large bookmarks file and it does timeout very quickly so i would if i could suggest a longer timeout period when it is working. 1. Can you somehow use the extension to check a folder of bookmarks ? as on my machine i have them organized into folders. 2. Can you use the extension to check a saved bookmark file which is in html format ? 3. Is there a reason why it hangs when tying to check duplicates it has been impossible for me to get it to work ?
