- (2022-09-23) Ricky: Doesn't work. Ended up writing my own script, which I'm releasing for free. Download Autohotkey. Then, create an Autohotkey file with the .ahk extension, e.g. ExampleFile.ahk. Go to the link here and paste the contents inside the .ahk file - https://pastebin.com/KqqPZypn After you're done, double click the file to run. Then, just press F12 to toggle script on and off.
- (2022-06-30) Amy Posner: Works just as described; you do have to scroll in conversations occasionally to load more messages to delete, and it is a little slow since each message is deleted individually, but it pretty much runs in the background. This is just what I needed, and I'm able to delete all of my messages without paying for additional access.

- (2021-08-09) Mahesh Gupta: Just what I needed. Required a refresh at start but when it started it worked flawlessly. Just one thing to note if you move away from that window it won't work, and you need to keep scrolling slowly while it's deleting.

I needed to clean out our General channel because we were adding some external members to our workspace and the general channel had some internal messages. I paid for the admin version and the flaw I ran into was that it wouldn't delete thread messages. (It deleted the main messages, but not sub-messages, it would get 'stuck' every time there was a thread). I had to pause the process and manually delete the messages in the thread. Luckily it didn't take toooo long, but for $50, I expected it to automate the whole process.

- (2021-01-13) Marc Bower: It works for me (free version), but it's painfully slow. However, slow is better than the "not at all" option offered by slack themselves, so thank you for this extension. We used it to clean out the #general channel (which my group used as the main chat channel.. I know, bad choice) to add another team in on the server. Fortunately a small group we are, so we each went through over a couple of hours and scrolled our way through the deletion.

- (2020-11-11) Ash: It was ok, It requires the messages to be in focus to delete it, so its not automated.. you still have to scroll through your entire channel history.. I guess it saves a bunch of clicks,

I tried disabling all other extensions and reloading the slack page multiple times, scroll the page so my messages are visible... but nothing. If I push the "Delete My messages" button, it start flashing pretending it's deleting but nothing happens.
