• (2025-03-04) Elm L M B: I tried 5 different dark mode reader extensions and this is the only one that could handle the weird "invisible" section lines on sites without turning them to a stabbing bright white, or skewing the page entirely. Unfortunately, Chrome version 133.0.6943.142 no longer supports it. I've kept it anyway in hopes they update it to be compatible.

Remove that threat admin, and you get 5 stars across the board. Best Extension for screen brightness i've ever seen.
• (2024-10-28) J T: Probably the best of the "Dark Mode" style extensions out there currently, and I feel like it's not even close. There's both global (simply turn on/off) control of the extension via a simple and obvious switch, and then a much more granular and remembered, per site-choice, made clear through a simple check simple (checked if active/unchecked if off for that site), but beyond that, there's immense customization for themes that goes beyond other extensions and just feels right to me for lack of a better term. Finally, it seems to work on the most sites in my experience out of all the extensions I've tried, and doesn't seem to break any of them from what I can tell, so far. Thanks Midnight Lizard developers, from one web developer/software engineer to others! Great work.

• (2024-07-08) Isa WP: Sure it's nice if you only ever get annoyed by websites that are too light, but useless if what you want to combat is the infernal tiny white or bright, saturated letters on perfect black websites. It also doesn't seem to know what parts of a website is actual text. Or what parts are background. I suppose part of the blame is in how convoluted some websites make their code - sometimes it's near impossible to figure out where somebody put their lines about text colour - but regardless, this one hasn't helped me.

It also lets you save those very specific settings on a SITE BY SITE BASIS. No more two options and one blacklist. No. This program will let you have your cake and eat it, too. Excellently made. UI to die for. If you have the means, go support these guys, they're doing God's work.

Having several sensitivities, and suffering from long hours off looking at my monitor, I now have fullly adjustable control. Soo much relief. I'd never do without. I was astonished to see that you can custom set each to it's own individual settings!!!

However, it doesn't seem to work on https//www.msn.com, or https://www.msn.com/en-us/. But if I click on any of the titles like "News (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news), "Entertainment," "Money" or "Sports" it then works. Hope the developer(s) would look into this.

My only criticism is that on docs it inverts it and makes the images look weird
