The Chromebook Recovery Utility is racking up quite a few bad reviews in the last few weeks. There is obviously a problem with it. Google Tech Support, can you help?

Doesn't work. Clicked on Get Started, get a pop-up. Clicked on Get Started on the pop-up, and nothing happens. Why not provide a URL where folks can directly download ChromeOS Flex installer onto a USB?

Documentation is terrible. I had the same issues a lot of people have reported below, I've found that if you delete the volume/partition from the USB drive you're planning on using (Using Disk Utility on Mac or Disk Management on Windows) then the recovery image process is substantially more reliable

This doesn't work with Linux. Given Chromeos is based on Linux this does a tad ironic.

Works fine... For the manufacturer you're supposed to select Google Chrome OS Flex if you're trying to create a bootable USB drive to install Chrome OS to a machine...

Yeah it seems to be broken. Why do I HAVE to select a model? My model isn't listed, why isn't there a try generic button? Even when I did that though it just got stuck at downloading. It looks like Chrome OS is already dead.
